The light itself is awkward because the cord is located so far up the pole that it has to be close to the power source.UPDATE: I wrote a pretty scathing review with 2 stars when I received it, so I am changing that. Yesterday, I took a few extra minutes to play with putting the batteries in the remote. The problem was apparently that the coil on the negative terminal ends was not aligned properly when I installed the batteries. I had to push it back at the same time I put the batteries in to establish a connection. After that, the remote does work, and I have light. Still deducting a star because the cord is so short it has to be pretty close to the power source, so it can't be used as a floor lamp in a room where the power source is more than a couple of feet from the lamp--which makes sense if you use it as a desk lamp and the power source is directly under the desk. Great if your power source is close though. I do like the light it gives off.

I am not sure of the therapy part of this but I made it through tax season so it must work some. Great lighting for my desk

I received the lamp and it was super easy to put together and has worked not only as described but I really doubted the use of a light for "therapy" I have extreme vitamin D deficiency and it can affect my mood and I've sat for 2 days under the light and I already feel like I am coming out of a funk I've been in

I had issues with the first one but the replacement works great. It is not the best on a carpet surface but you also have the option for a desk size and I think it would balance fine on hard floors. The base is very stable but on carpet the center of gravity causes it to tip more easily. I solved this by putting it in a corner with no traffic.

I love this lamp It is bright and on top of that, it is perfect for my desk. Also, it is very portable and since I have to move periodically, having a portable lamp like this is literally perfect for me. On top of that, I also really liked its color changing ability as well as scheduling ability. Overall a great product and would definitely recommend anyone to buy.

I read a lot of books, and my bedroom light is too bright for that, so wanted something that was bright when required and dim when reading books. This lamp works like a charm, the best thing is that it's got 9 levels of brightness and a sleep timer!!!! I sometimes fall asleep when reading books, so I set sleep timer beforehand.No defects or anything; is very sturdy, and fits perfectly on a bedside table.

I got this to replace a Lumie Arabia I had owned for over 6 years and it's incredible how far the technology has come, still just as effective but much sleeker and more lightweight than before. I think these are a must have for dark winters.
