BerkleyDredger Fishing Hard Bait

I've had two of these in my tackle bag since February, and had forgotten them until today, I couldn't get anything to get a hit so I just started swapping lures and got a hard hit on the second cast from a fishing pier on a public lake. The "black and silver" . I went to a private pond this evening where they usually hit just pumpkin worms, fishing was a little slow so I gave this another try and Bam same thing, I caught 3 in 5 minute span. Impressed me enough to buy another as a spare and write this review to say thanks to whoever put this thing together. I said I have two at the start of this review, the other is a bluegill I think, I didn't have much luck with that one.

Hard to go wrong with the Bad Shad! Great lure. Use it mostly on walleyes, works much better than the Good Shad!Disclaimer: I didn't catch those gravel lizards with the Bad Shad, they didn't want him that day. But I have caught many others on him!PS Rocks and stumps enjoy nipping at him too. They hit hard and furious if given ample opportunity and sometimes will claim your beloved bait.

There are so many different lures, sizes, shapes etc. it's hard to know which lure to get. I got the 2.25" Wild Thang and it is maybe on the larger size for what I normally catch, It also needs a fair amount of reel speed to get the right action. You can tell because your tip will bend a little as the lure dives. I trolled at about 1.5mph and caught a nice channel catfish that though this thing looked tasty.

I love Berkley lures. The Dredger series is my favorite. They move like real fish in the water. If you know how deep the fish are, this lure is perfect for you. Know you’re fish, know you’re equipment.

This is a nice crankbait, well built and great colors. I wish it took less retrieve speed to make the lure come alive. I like to finesse fish these close to shore when the bite is slow and this one required too much speed to make it move properly.The standard for me is the Luck E Strike RC2. The action on the RC2 is better and it takes less speed to make it wag.

Big fan of Berkely lures after my last summer. They have so many different types for going deep or stay near he surface. This is a great color for dark water and the quality of paint and colors they use is very life like. They look and swim like a fish. The hooks and quality of metal is great.

I bought a 1/2 oz in black/gold and caught 5 largemouth bass in about an hour. Two were over 31/2 pounds. Very good day on the water. I bought a 1/4 oz in black/silver and caught bass when no other bait was working. I heard somewhere that the warpig was the lure that landed the most pounds in this years tournaments. I don’t doubt it for a minute. This little booger catches fish.

Great looking lure. These lipless cranks are designed to work like a jig. I am not confident it will hold up to much abuse though because mine arrived today, I took it fishing with me, and in 20 minutes of running it on the bottom of my local lake i have beaten the paint off of it already.
