Great value
I needed to replace an expensive mixer tap that had become stiff and tarnished over the years. This one had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a go. It works well and the surface has not tarnished over the years it's been in use. It's so much better than the old expensive one that cost several times as much!

Smart new taps.
Bought these at Amazon as half the price of elsewhere. Needed to replace similar old taps that dripped. These don't drip and look very smart/modern. Installed by a plumber but was done quickly so I assume easy to do. Seem like a universal fit. Slight downside is the tap nozzles don't seem to hang over the sink or project forward quite as much as old taps they replaced, meaning the water comes down just clearing the sink side. Bought a new washing up bowl as a result as water was hitting the edge of the old one. Plumber registered then with Bristan for a five year warranty. I hadn't realised this was included. Taps came well packaged without there being an excess of plastic etc. and with a simple instruction leaflet.

A bit wobbly but a nice looking tap and very easy to use.
The monobloc uses an easy-fit arrangement which is fixed onto the top of the sink and tightened from below. The monobloc then fits over the stub with the two pipe connections and is secured with two grub screws which means the whole unit is a little wobbly, but it only needs a light touch on the levers to turn the water on or off. It didn't help the plumber when the two cartridges were factory fitted the wrong way round so the water flowed when the levers were vertical, and horizontal and forward when off. The instructions did not specify the open/close condition with the levers were up, and eventually the plumber realised how to change the cartridges to make it work more logically. The levers are well clear of the surface of the sink making cleaning around the base easy, Happy with the way it works now since it was fitted a month ago.

Mono tap for new kitchen
Fitters said tap was easy to install. Nice clean looking design and swan neck allows kettles/buckets, etc to be easily filled. Seems robust unlike other mono bloc taps we have had which wobbled. Purchased as levers are easier to operate, especially coming in from garden with dirty hands!! No downside found yet

Tap to the beat of quality
Nice action on these taps, installed within an elderly ladies household. Very easy to turn in and off. Good quality finish.

Fabulous mixer tap.....
This mixer tap is absolutely great, solidly built, looks impressive and stylish, from taking it out of the box, complete with washers and brass back-nuts, took about 15 minutes to replace the old set. The swan neck reaches just about half of my sink but it is high and out of the way ( a large bucket goes easily underneath) and it swivels with no force whatsoever, the levers do the same, with everything only finger tight there are no leaks. My only negative point was the aerator attached, tended to splash, so changed for one I had (never throw anything away) with a finer mesh - fabulous - a nice soft aerated flow of water hot or cold. If I ever need another this will be it.Highly recommended

Manufacturing faults denied by Bristan
I installed this new tap quite straightforward, with some care, in accordance with manufacturers foolproof instructions. When I turned on the supply with levers upright the water gushed out! The levers had to be horizontally forward to turn off the water. Obviously not how every drawing, advert, video or photo shows them! On phoning Bristan customer services they denied that the tap was faulty and said it operated correctly in that way. On protesting he then told me that I could swap the cartridges and the levers could be "off" in the upright position and it wouldn't invalidate the warranty! On dismantling the cold side I discovered that the hot (red) cartridge had been installed and the blue was in the hot! So obviously a manufacturing mix up. Had I been lied to? Would you want to dismantle a brand new product and put a manufacturer's mistake right? No, neither did I. But the water supply was essential. Why Bristan couldn't admit the problem worries me. 3 months later, on my insistence, Bristsn sent an engineer to install a replacement tap. Lo and behold, it was exactly the same faults in manufacture! The Bristan guy swapped the hot and cold, just as I had done with my original and corrected the lever position to be 'off' upright. He told me he would report all this and ascertain the cause of the faults. I have heard no more on it. I will also state that when the hot side has been running to fill a bowl, if I try using the cold straightaway, it is mighty stiff to pull forward rather than fingertip control as it should be. It's caused by so much brass being in the base block, which expands when HOT (basic law of physics?). Do not trust Bristan in my experience! I doubt this tap will last many years, poor value and very worrying.
