Pity the man who has to put together but it's nice
I would not say this is easy to construct from the instructions. However I'm not very good at putting things like this together. I finally got it it looks great and the kids love it so I'm happy they're happy :-)

Evil child
Took three days to build with my daughter.Woke up the next morning to it destroyed by my four year old.So now all the pieces are in a ziplock to probably never see the light of day again :)

Missing pieces. Hard to snap together. Keeps crumbling when pressing new pieces on.
The pieces are hard to snap together and tired my hands when we were building the towers. My 6-year-old niece gave up in frustration when the pieces wouldn't just snap together. You have to push hard enough that sometimes what you've already built falls apart, which is doubly frustrating. Within the first page of directions, we discovered two pieces missing. I'm not completely finished (tired hands, remember?) but I don't think that's the only missing part. This isn't something that's likely to be taken apart but simply used as a permanent building once finished. UPDATE: When it became clear just how small the castle was and how frustrating it was for me to built it, my niece told me it wasn't going to be fun to play with, anyway, so just throw it away.

Beautiful set with some very nice custom pieces, and works with name brand bricks
I had hoped that my daughter would first try to follow the directions somewhat and build what we see in the pictures, but she had other plans. She was thrilled to get this open and immediately mixed these with all of her other building blocks. Thankfully they work well together, although I'd hoped to at least once see how this would look as a piece for her. But maybe that's me being the evil Kragle? (spelling?)Anyhow letting her do her thing, I was still able to see all of the unique custom pieces such as the balloon pieces, that she was finding such creative uses for. This just tells me that alone or with the rest of your collection, that this really can open up some new options, expand on your child's creativity and imagination in building and is actually a really good value for these pieces when compared to the name brand. Not noticing myself any bad pieces or quality issues, will most likely continue looking into these sets to further expand our collection.

Great Girls Building Block Set
My 8 year old daughter was so excited to get this building block set. She did ask for some help assembling it, but it was pretty straight forward to build. My daughter thinks it's very cute. She loves flying the girl around in the hot air balloon. She was very impressed with all of the golden bricks. It's also cool that you can customize the castle. This would really make a great a gift.
