powerful OPNsense router + i love HUNSN. (great company)
i already have one xeon server that i bought from HUNSN a year ago that just works flawlessly. running 12 months straight no issues. that is why i decided to get this router. i wanted somethign that just works. My internet connection has 1GB comming in and my old Netgear router was just not cutting it. it would consistently drop the speed over time requiring reboot after reboot. i bought this march 22. and so far already been working flawlessly. very easy to see that things have changed! ... with opnsense installed and HUNSN hardware... i this thing will just be running from now on for the next year(s) to come. no rebooting ever needed!

Einfach Spitze.

Works great with OpenWrt
Works great with Proxmox 8 / Openwrt. Ordered it barebone and used it together with 16GB of Crucial 4800MHz CL40 ram.One thing to keep in mind is that cooling can be better: the gap between the case and the cpu is covered with a very thick layer of cooling paste, but I had better idle / load temps by putting a 1mm thick copper shim on the cpu. This way it has better contact with the heat spreader on the case. Idle temps went from 36-28 to 27 (with a 80mm Noctua fan, temp are around 35 without a fan).

A low wattage modern generation CPU firewall
If you have landed here you are likely in the market for a low wattage modern generation CPU firewall with more than the standard allocation of NICs.Long story short this is almost certainly the box for you and buying via the HUNSN Amazon store will allow you access to actual support. I did not expect this at all but HUNSN have been great, answering the few technical questions I had quickly and professionally. The firewall itself is a little tank. An absolutely solid unit that is noticeably heavy in the hand. Everything feels like it should with tight tolerances and no sharp edges.Installing Proxmox 8 all the components are natively recognised including the six I226-V 2.5G network cards. The N100 CPU is a modern marvel. Idling approximately 13C over ambient and never peaking above 40C for me. Intel ARC lists a max temperature for this CPU of 105C so there is vast amounts of headroom. The NVMe is another story with it sky rocketing towards 65-70C on idle. Adding a heat sink made a marked 10C difference but if you are thinking of running this device completely passively I would get into the mindset that 40C over ambient would be the expected passive baseline. Choosing an NVMe for this passive setup I would recommend checking specs for a 80C model rather than the more usual 70C.However if you are going to push the NVMe I would suggest asking about buying the 80x10mm 5V fan kit. Note if you do install a fan this will probably remove the space to add a 2.5" HDD.The case itself will get warm, not hot, to the touch. It is hard to describe but for me it feels like a central heating radiator than was on good while back and not one that is currently on. Takes a bit of getting used to if you normally have fan cooled systems but I think the n100 is the perfect CPU for this setup. The firewall arrives in a generically branded box but it is high quality double packaging with foam inserts that holds everything separate and secure. There is very little extra waste here. No manual but there is a tiny SATA data and power cable which is the perfect size for the firewall should you use a 2.5" HDD.The PSU is a brick style 12V affair from a brand I do not know but whilst lightweight it doesn't feel cheap. Testing with an expensive high quality PSU made no difference to power consumption which suggests the shipped PSU is pretty efficient. I am happy enough with it that I decided to stick with the shipped PSU.USB booting the firewall into Ubuntu 23.10 desktop it idles at about 10W. Adding a nvme increases consumption by 3-4W as expected. The BIOS does not explicitly mention c-states but having tested most of the related options and disabling any devices that are not needed I could not get the idle below this. Given this device has six 2.5G Ethernet network cards I find these values frankly remarkable. There is not a lot I could think of to improve these devices but in no particular order. A native 120x10mm fan would not make any noticeable difference to the chassis size and I strongly suspect even a trickle of air would keep keep everything noticeably cooler at imperceptible noise levels and a fraction of a watt power consumption. Specific NVMe cooling, perhaps using the the chassis heat-sink. An online product page where you can download manuals, high resolution images and BIOS etc. If I am honest the lack of this almost made me not purchase and it seems like a needless oversight. The M.2 slots are too close to some motherboard components making adding a heat-sink an uncomfortably tight fit. 1-2mm extra is all that is needed hereWould I recommend this device? unequivocally. If you need a high NIC count firewall (e.g poor mans 2.5G switch) then this is a bargain. Buying via the HUNSN store on Amazon is virtually the same price as importing but you also get access to Amazon returns and guarantees along with direct to vendor support seems like a no brainer.

Works Great
I bought this device to use as a firewall with pfSense. It works great and it puts to shame similar products from Netgate in terms of price to performance. The only minor complaint I have is that is has no documentation, neither in the packaging nor in the official site of HUNSN. For example, I had some issues with installation when connecting the bootable usb to the USB2.0 ports. The device refused to boot up and it kept beeping. I didn't know what error the beeps were indicating as there was no documentation. When inserting the bootable usb to the single USB3.0 port it finally worked. This trial and error process could have been avoided with a simple quick-installation quide.
