Feels like I already belong here
I am not a part of zomato right now but already have a sense of belonging , this book is a manifestation of the culture and mindset I want to build in my organisation. I believe reading and RE-Reading does the job.

It’s a book for Zomato Employees Only | Don’t Buy if you are not one of them
It’s a book that just talks about all good things in zomato and nothing else.I guess even for zomato employees they would have liked to know more, it just touches things on surface and doesn’t go in detail at all.Not at all worthy for the price this is and is just an attempt to get some funds using the brand and founders name

Not only a survival guide/manual but also a self-help book to a way of life
"We avoid bad news because we hate discomfort. Yet, all growth begins with discomfort. Without it, there is no reason to change. We start our journey of maturity when we finally realise that life is not about achieving absolute peace but about effectively managing tension."A book that was originally written as a corporate handbook for new Zomato employees, gives an insight into how one of India’s most exciting and successful companies works, and what it does to create the culture of excellence that makes it break barriers – time and time again.Presented as an orientation manual / survival guide to adapt to the organisation’s culture, and chart one’s journey to success, this book captures the principles and standards of how Zomato works and their key policies. It also includes the company’s history – how it was created, its purpose, and evolution into what it has become today.I loved how the book is styled as a visual guidebook with simple illustrations and text designed using clean, bold fonts. It is a quick and easy read that succinctly delivers the message it set out with.CULTure at Zomato serves both as an employee’s rules of engagement as well as a manual for entrepreneurs/start-ups to identify and streamline their vision and culture. As I see it, it is also a self-help book to a way of life that will benefit your professional goals as well as your personality. For complete review, visit aquamarineflavours dot wordpress dot com

A culture to bring the best out of people !!
I m not an employee of Zomato. Rather I have always been against cash burn business models. But after going through the book and his interviews, I can say for sure that Deepinder is a continuous learner, innovator and one who doesn't give up.... His Persistence and grit is inspirational. Do read it. We all want to build something that stays long after we are gone.... A good culture is a pre-requisite!!

Skip this one if you're not a Zomato employee (maybe even if you are one)
Let's start with good parts first. The book is pretty well designed. The illustrations make the book look aesthetically pleasing. The paper and print quality is really good as well. But unfortunately, that's where all the good things end for me.The content inside the book is far too less than what I was expecting. Half of the pages just illustrations and graphics. You can easily complete this book within an hour. Some pages are just a few sentences long. While it looks good, you can't really derive much value out of it. And sadly, the content is a bit of let down as well. Nothing you wouldn't find in other books. Most content is just generic advices like seek discomfort, question everything etc. I would've derived more value by reading Rework again than reading this.Don't be mistaken, this book is probably not for everyone. It seems specifically aimed towards Zomato employees only. I was hoping to get more insights into how Indian startups work but there's nothing of that sort apart from the generic advices I mentioned. Last 20-30 pages of this book are extremely specific to Zomato, unwanted for a book that's available for public sale.To conclude, you can probably buy this if you work for Zomato and want to keep it as a merchandise or you're looking for a very quick, nice looking book. Even then I'm not sure if it justifies the price tag.

1 Hour Read, Not worth 350 Bucks
The book is good, but not worth the money we spent. I completed it within an hour, and for 350 bucks, it’s not worth it to get so little content, especially since most of the book is graphics rather than text.
