Possible fix for ‘broken’ spray nozzle
Original post: Should have read the reviews!!!! UGH bought the large bottle. Spray nozzle does not work!!!Edit: What the directions on the bottle cap Do Not say: after inserting the hose tip into the bottle, pull the tubing out of the sprayer. The tubing appears to be short from the bottle to the sprayer. The liquid will not spray. I considered trying to remove the sprayer or cap to pour into another bottle and it wouldn’t open. I was so frustrated I pulled on the spray nozzle to try and get it off the bottle and the rest of the tubing started coming out of the sprayer. It had a fairly long coil of tubing. Once the tubing was extended straight, the sprayer started working very well.So we’ll see how long it lasts. The reviews for the sprayer weren’t great.I’ve used Liquid Fence for years. Most of the time, it works. Occasionally it seems like I get that one deer that can’t smell or is so hungry it doesn’t care.

It works!
We have deer. They eat everything. Even the things people tell me they will not eat, these deer eat.OK, so this stuff smells really bad when you first spray it on. But once it's dry, apparently only the deer can still smell it. They have not touched anything I've applied it to.Spraying in the sun will result in burned plants, so don't do that. Duh.The real test is going to see if the arborvitae makes a comeback. It's working on poppies (that only our deer eat) and snow on the mountain and am waiting to see about Hummigbird Vine. It seems to need to be reapplied following a hard rain or at least every week. We also have 25 Noble Fir starts dotting the property and it seems to be keeping them safe as well.We started off with a quart and decided to go for the gallon which is so much more economical. I can't say if the spray bottle is going to hold up or not since I see people do complain about that, but if it's like most spray bottles, a little squirt of Tri-flo or WD-40 usually fixes them. Otherwise, will transfer into another spray bottle.Do shake it well before using.

STINKS!!!! But, effective for deer/rabbits!
Shake this bottle well, spray the plants deer/rabbits have been eating and walk away. Wear gloves in case this stinky spray gets on your hands. Believe me, it does stink BUT, so far, so good. Deer here come and go but rabbits are here all the time. The hostas/grass that they love to eat every single night are ignored when I spray Liquid Fence. I know, the rabbits just go to another area but those areas that need to be protected, can continue to grow. Hint: Spray your area once a week for a month. Then, just spray once a month. The spray is effective even with a bit of rain but, for a hosta garden, for instance, spray once a week for a month, and those rabbits lose interest and go elsewhere, at least, as has been proven in my garden. I've stopped spraying my hostas and they haven't been nibbled at at all! Give it a try. Put on gloves, spray away, step back and watch those hostas grow!

Liquid Fence
This stuff does a really good job of keeping deer from eating the flowers! It's safe for pets, chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits because it's mostly just liquid from putrified egg. Of course, the downside is that it smells like putrified egg... and that's nasty! However, once it dries, you can no longer smell it, but the deer can, and they don't eat things that stink. I recommend that you wear disposable gloves to spray it and stand upwind. All of that said, I buy and use this product every Spring and Summer.

Working so far but.......
So far this is working for keeping the deer away from our rose garden. The down side to this purchase is that the premix with the attached sprayer was terrible. The sprayer just flat out did not work. I had to cut the top off the container and pour it into our own sprayer. Next time I'll just buy the concentrate and mix it myself; which will save a few $$$.

Keep deer away from my lilies
I was tired of having the deer munch all of the buds off of my lilies so I decided to try this product. It has a pungent smell until it dries, then it’s not detectable to humans, but apparently it is to deer! This is the first year that they have stayed away from everything I’ve sprayed it on. You reapply after one week and then again every two weeks. They recommend reapplying after a hard rain. We will definitely be purchasing this again!

Keeps the bunnies away but hard to spray
Seems to work well to keep the bunnies away. Boy does it stink! But that's what they must hate. My complaint is once the bottle is half empty, it becomes harder to spray. I turned the head around but you still have to keep it at a specific angle to get it to pump. Someone needs to take a look at that.

Wear gloves - this stuff stinks
It works but the smell is rancid and sticks to everything so make sure to wear gloves. I recommend following the instructions and reapplying as it does wear off. Saved my front yard Hostas from becoming a deer salad bar.

A deer protection which works
I have been using this for a few months now. I can see deer on the camera by my hedge and they are not eating the hedge - so far so good and the hedge is growing strong which will protect it from the deer better than young shoots.

Don’t waste your money
Bought it for my mother’s garden to get rid of rabbits. Followed the instructions and the rabbits are still there. Waste of time and money.
