The insulation on the wire is not very good. It likes to melt if you try to solder the wire, or sometimes the wire will even break out through the side if pressure is applied (tweezers) The wire is OK as wire, but the insulation needs better heat and tear resistance!

It’s good looking wire but it’s only a single piece of wire and it’s rather rigid so twisting it with other wire is a pain because it doesn’t really twist. It’s just a solid piece of wire is a 24 gauge. I’m not sure it’s a pretty thin piece of wire just one wire or whatever.

Wire gauge is given, but not the thickness of the insulation. That is a very important piece of information when you are dealing with wire to be used on a punch down block. The thickness of this wire’s insulation is too large to use it on a punch down block. However for most other Point to point wiring jobs it is very good and to the point wiring. It is Avery good point to consider when a solid core wire for your current or next project.
