## Description

PowerSlide X Plus

Review: Very competent scanner. While a more modernized option with USBC and a single scan mode would be great, this system does a great job of slicing through up to 50 slides at a time. It is not loud, it is steady, methodical, and outputs a quality scan. We were at a medium high quality and output 4000x6000 JPGs at about 15mb each. There are similar older versions that are apparently slower and louder but half the price, which are also quite capable as I understand it. We scanned roughly a thousand slides and only had one jam, although I have read others have had higher rates. The software is not super intuitive, but it works, just start slow and be aware that it wants to complete the set. Get some extra third party slide decks so you can have another one ready to go when the first one finishes.
Review: I have had about 2,000 slides stored in Kodak carousels for many years. It's been on my mind to convert them to digital files, so I can save them, and share them with family. Tried an old Nikon slide converter, but couldn't get it to work, so after much dithering, decided to invest in the Pacific machine. Mostly good, with just a little downside. Bad first. The instructions leave MUCH to be desired. You are left with a fairly steep learning curve. The builders need to have someone who doesn't know how to use the unit write the manual! Now the good. After figuring it out, I quickly processed about 2500 slides. You need to insert the slides as the instructions say, and those instructions are a bit opaque. If you buy the machine, spend a little more and get an extra tray (B&H has them). Speeds thing up so, so much. I found I needed to tell the software to scan one number more than the number of slides in the tray. It insists on starting the scan outside the tray, effectively at number zero. Not a problem, once you figure it out. Bottom line? It worked. Would I buy it again? Yes, although I would very much wish it were cheaper. Hard to say it is over-priced, when there is no good competition. At least that I could find. I docked it one star for the poor manual. No excuse for that, considering what you pay for it.

## Features

- 【Auto batch 35mm Slide Scanner】 PowerSlide X Plus can continuously scan up to 50 slides at a time with the included slide magazine, enabling automatic batch slide scanning.
- 【10,000 dpi True Color Scan】 Unlike most DSLR or CMOS scanners using CMOS Bayer pattern, Pacific Image film scanners employ true RGB linear array CCD for high-quality 135 slide scanning with the PowerSlide X Plus.
- 【User-friendly interface】 Enjoy faster scanning with one-button operation. The latest generation is nearly four times faster, delivering superior scan quality with reduced noise compared to the previous model.
- 【Support DNG Format】 Keep the original raw image data in DNG format. Professional users can get their preferred image by post-processing from the raw image without any distortion in advance.
- 【PC and Mac】 Supports Windows 7/8/10/11 (PC) and Mac OS X 10.13 or later (not compatible with PowerPC). Requires a minimum of 4 GB RAM and 50 GB or more available hard disk space for both platforms.
- Please refer to this link "https://www.scanace.com/product/all-models-driver-download-user-guide" to download our latest drivers.
- Paper slides may jam the machine if damaged or damp. Please check their condition before use.
