Just witnessed a crash yesterday and this camera was able to save the lady who’s car was hit! This is such an awesome investment. The wide angle lens is Able to capture everything you can see out if the windshield. Truly an awesome camera and a good price. Now obviously if you buy more expensive dash cams they have more features but for simple recording of events this is the one.

This camera works great! I drive a lot, but decided to wait a few weeks just to see if there were any truth to the bad reviews. Now that a few weeks have gone by with (basically) no issues, I'm here to let everyone know the bad reviewers are a bunch of techno-illiterate babies.One of the main complaints I see is that the instruction guide that comes with the camera tells the user nothing. That is kind of true, yes. The guidebook essentially just tells you the basic function of each button and not much else. I thought that was kind of frustrating, but I began to play around with the camera, and soon found out it was the easiest thing in the world to navigate if you can focus for literally 2 minutes. I was able to configure the camera to my desired specifications almost immediately. I see a few people complaining about how the screen turns black after a few minutes of non-use. This is EASILY turned off in the settings. I swear, people don't even try.A lot of people also complain that the camera "dangles like a Christmas ornament". First of all, funny comparison but also a huge exaggeration. Granted, the latch that fixes the stand to the camera is not very dependable and is prone to falling off if you drive on a bumpy road. This can be annoying and dangerous (it swung and hit my copilot in the face, which was actually kinda funny, so i'm not too mad). However, this is another issue that can be easily fixed. I tied some black tape around the camera and the stand, and have not had a single issue since. It's that easy, everyone. TAPE.The camera quality is FANTASTIC, especially when uploaded to your computer, you can see everything: license plates, car types, even birds in the sky. I see some people complaining that you can't pick up license plates with this camera. Utterly and completely untrue. Maybe you can't see them if you're watching the playback from the tiny screen on the camera, but that issue is obliterated if you just simply upload the video to your computer. Again, people don't even try.Some of you people act like a product is entirely defective if there's one or two issues, even if they're easily fixable. This camera works great and does exactly what I want it to. Something like this is absolutely phenomenal for the price, and I would argue that everyone should get one of these.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The crosstour cr300 dashcam was perfect for my needs. The quality of the pictures and videos are very nice. It has WDR and we can record HD videos. The wide angle camera captures moments you wish to revisit again.This review after using it for 3 weeks and I was able to assess under various road conditions.> Build Quality: The crosstour cr300 dashcam have premium build quality and the settings /buttons are easy to set up>Camera Quality: We can capture 1080 HD pictures and videos using the camera during day time. While going uphill / downhill the video becomes blurry (I guess because of lot of lighting on road) / too bright videos and I'm not sure is it because the camera angle changes or some other issue, but otherwise it captures great videos. I'm not gonna expect much for a ~$30 dashcam.Another issue I observed is, each video file size is fixed (~386 MB) irrespective of length of the video. I set up loop recording of 3 min and the size of the file is same for 3 min video and an 7 sec video. I thought of adding the dashcam videos directly but they are huge. I've attached pic/video of various scenarios like day/ night freeway/city traffic and rainy /foggy for your assessment. Because of the huge file size, I had to capture them through my phone while playing on my PC. So you might see some low quality pic/video on amazon review.You can easily capture everything (license plate/directions/signs) during day very clearly and during night you can read the directions/signs clearly, but the license plate is bit tricky as your headlight is focused on the license plate it will too much bright like capturing sun.Customer Support: I received response within 24 hours. They are very helpful and send the needed help immediately.Size / Duration of the videos: The product description says it supports upto 32 GB, but i'm using 64 GB by changing the format to FAT32 and it works perfectly alright. with each video taking around 386 MB, my 64 GB can continuously capture 9 hours (4.5 hrs for 32 GB) of road trip and since it has loop recording, you no need to format it. It automatically rewrites old files with new videos.

I don't know that I needed a dashcam, but I do know that I've many times thought, geez, I wish I'd had a camera going while driving along. This device came up as a deal, at a very affordable, won't-lose-any-sleep-if-t doesn't-work-out price.Having used this product for a week now, I'll start by saying that it tends to make one conscious of one's own behavior while driving in comparison with the behavior of others one encounters along the way. That's an unspoken gain in itself. I'm using the default settings, which yield a record of one's drive in three minute segments. By default, recording starts on vehicle ignition and continues, segment to segment. A 32 gb micro sd card appears to hold about 4 hours of looping, recorded content. When the card reaches capacity, the camera will overwrite older content. One can choose to protect a given recording from being overwritten, but for my purposes, if there's a segment that captures something noteworthy, I'll offload to my pc and let the camera manage housekeeping beyond that. Image/video quality is excellent, which I perhaps should have said at the outset . . .

This camera doesn't do what it says. You can only loop 1, 3, or 5 minutes which isn't enough time, and when it fills the 32 GB camera card, which didn't take long at all, it should be able to loop and start again at the beginning but it doesn't, so the camera no longer works at all. Just beeps and says out of space. It also only works while it's plugged in and the car is running, which defeats the purpose of why I bought it. I wanted it to record motion around my parked car due to vandalism issues.Also the mount does not hold the camera securely. I have slid it into the groove firmly, and several times it has fallen off the suction mount, bounced off the dash, and down onto the seat or floor.Waste of money.

This is good value for something I'm not going to mess with. Just expect to play around to finally get the settings you require. Not uncommon, the included instructions are poorly written (translated) and poorly presented. Not a deal breaker esp if all you really need is a low cost video record of road traffic incidents.

The fit of the camera to suction cup is very poor fit. The features of camera are ok. Hence I returned the product. The fit of camera to suction cup should be robust which it is not. Maybe the camera I got was defective..
