4.5 stars.
Actually had such a good time over the last two days reading Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green, which I was not expecting. While this series isn't anything particularly different and it does have some issues (see: declaring love after one week and apparently meaning it), as long as you don't take these books too seriously they are really fun. I grew to love the characters and their dynamics with one another pretty quickly and I am honestly a little sad to be letting them go.I said in my Sapphire Blue review that the instalove in these books didn't really bother me and it bothered me even less in this last book. I was sucked straight back into the story and the plot, my only real issue - which I'm not even that mad about - was one small plot line around Dr. White that was left unresolved.Again though, I took this for what it was; a fast and easy 2010 young adult enemies-to-lovers time travel story full of angst and the odd ghost, which against my initial expectations I really liked.

Emerald Green
I was going to give the book five stars, but then I remembered that although everything was tied up, they weren't tied up neatly enough for my liking. Also at some points I felt that the laws of continuum (that is the science behind time) were getting a bit contradictory as sometimes Gideon would go off and do his own thing then when Gwen tried to the same she was told it would break the rules. On the other hand this may have just been me reading the book too quickly as I was desperate to find out what happened. However, there are also many positive attributes to this book for example, I really enjoyed how the family worked together to help Gwen no matter what. I also really enjoyed the development of Gideon and what he does (despite his feeble excuse for hurting her) for Gwen in their rather rushed romance. It was also nice that Gier finally showed Charlotte's real feelings on matters towards the end of the book rather than her just sulking with her mother and putting Gwen down.Overall, the trilogy was nicely ended (and to be honest I'll rather miss Gwen and Gideon) and I recommend that if you have read the first two books that you read this one as it is as witty as ever.

The final book in the Ruby Red trilogy
“Emerald Green” is the third and last book in the “Ruby Red” Triology. It follows the events of “Sapphire Blue” and concludes the trilogy. After Gwen’s disturbing conversation with the count, she has lost all faith in Gideon’s love. Feeling alone, she continues on with her agenda, trying to reveal what Lucy and Paul had tried to prevent, along with trying to make sense of her relationship with Gideon.Okay… so… I have to say—I’m just going to come right out and say it:I will forever ignore the fact that this entire trilogy is supposed to happen over the course of 14 days only. It might be what the author wanted, but I refuse to accept that. Without that little fact, this entire series becomes so much better. No, but really… This book concludes the series, and while I finally got the big climax I was waiting for in each book, it sort of fizzled out all things considered.

A FEW SPOILERS ( A short Review)
I found Emerald Green to be a good Ending to the Ruby Red Trilogy but it could have been Better. The book was quite fast Paced so it was never boring and I actually ended the book in two days. However, I felt like there were so many Mysterious that weren't really concluded for example Elisabetta and Count Saint- Germain or the fact that Gwen turned out to be Lucy and Paul's child. How Comes the author never really wrote about the rest of the families surprise or how they ended up reacting to this news.Other than that I loved this book and especially the conclusion. And the Writing style Kerstin Gier Wrote the book was so Beautiful ( Odd how Writing Styles can be Beautiful but it was.)

Expected no less
After nice 1st book, and mediocre 2nd I was afraid of the 3rd one. Fortunately the action is running like a sport house, and the final quite suprising. It was maybe not spectacular, but quite nice lecture.

It felt so realistic while reading it. I felt like as if I am the main character riding a roller coaster in my head while reading it and experiencing the adventure for all three books. Thank you Kerstin Gier.
