Night and day better than my Fitbit Sense 2, not least because you get everything the Sense 2 does (well, everything I care about and have noticed) *without* a subscription, but also because it's way more responsive and customizable, with a battery that lasts significantly longer (approx 7 days vs I'd say 4-5), a much better companion phone app, and with excellent web app equivalent (ie. browse all your stats and routes in great detail on a normal web browser on a PC/Mac).OK, it's twice the price, but if you factor in the subscription cost over 12 months, and the fact that Google have bought and discontinued Fitbit in favour of Google Pixel watch (version 3 at time of writing) that, while no doubt very fully featured, has a battery life of roughly 24 hours...No contest. Well done Garmin.

I love it! My first Garmin so don't have other Garmins to compare with. Really pleased with Garmin and the watch so far for health and fitness tracking. I do walking, HIIT, cycling and swimming mainly and I'm able to see all the stats that matter to me.

Had the vivoactive 4s and this is a quite big step up. The screen is obvs better but there are also more options - like choosing what data fields you want to display during your workout. I also paired it with my Stages power meter so I get a bit more (but not all!) data. The battery life is at least double the vivoactive but uses the same charger shape. Also uses 18mm straps.I don’t use sleep or female tracking options so I can’t comment on those. I’m pleased with it. Shame garmin pay isn’t supported by many banks.

Excellent smart watch.I upgraded from the Venue 2 to the venue 3 & very happy
