I purchased this item so I could show off my newly hatched chicks at a work event! This item worked perfectly. The box was simple to put together and allows enough space for all three chicks. The chicks are now 3 weeks old and still have room. The light was also easy to attach and the convenient dimming bulb made it easy to adjust the temperature. All you need is a brooder thermometer sold separately. The only thing to be aware of is the bottom of the brooder is wood. I simply put a few pieces of paper towel and some pine chips in it to prevent any icky messes. This also made it easy to clean!

Happy with this brooder. Keeps the chicks warm and seems to have helped them better than my old make shift brooder as it keeps the temp steady even indoors. It is extremely easy to increase the temperature by increasing the intensity of the light with the dial. Directly under the light it’s about 100° at the medium setting but around the outskirts of the container it gets down to 88. They seem to feel safe and are very comfortable. My advice would be to keep the bottom of the Brooder from wetness as it can warp the wood, I put a layer of parchment paper underneath the paper towel and that has proved to be a good barrier, if you change the bedding every day or every two days. My chicks are pretty messy so I’ve been religious about changing their bedding. Also, they’re very delicate so whatever I can do to keep their chances good I will do! It is not a very large set up, but for baby Buttonquail it’s been really cozy, I have 11 in there and they are about the size of your thumb. Also, I have been able to move it to other places in the house fairly easily and just pop in the plug so they can have instant heat/warmth. I love how easily I can see them and observe their personalities, they are hilarious to watch. Overall, I’m very happy with it! At 5 weeks they will move to their big house outside. So far no pecking or fighting, and they love to snuggle to sleep around the heat light.

Fairly easy to set up ! The big plus is my Brinsea heater fits in there! The downside is I would not trust the heater that comes with it ! Plenty of room if you have Seramas or Kikirikis ! I am so excited to have the big window! With my heater the temp is perfect!

Much smaller than expected for my chicks, but the light worked well and was easy to adjust the temperature. I just expected it to hold my 3 chicks comfortably for longer than 3 weeks.

This works great for my button quail. But word of advise. Use a cardboard hut under the light, it gets super hot without it (over 120F) so make sure to add a thermometer. But with a slight modification adding a hut to regulate the heat, it works perfectly. Came together well with a regular screwdriver (not the one in the box). Fits well on a shelf, and it's cat proof. You can easily add a strap and lock if needed. Overall, value for what you get... it's not bad honestly. My chicks love it. Would not recommend for chickens or anything bigger than quail.

The light socket was broken and the bulb had been smashed and unusable. I had to purchase new lighting equipment and heat lamp in order for the baby quail to stay warm. Skip this product and purchase something better quality

I give it two stars only because it was easy to set up. The product claims to be for three to eight chicks. It is way too small for any more than two chicks. Most standard waterer and feeder for chicks barely fit.

So far so good. Holding baby quail. Temp is adjustable with the dial. Love that we can watch them from top and sides. Not too hot against the back wall Will hold a 6 lb babysitter. And double as a warming spot for the 6 lb babysitter. I fits, I sits works well for both the kitty and quail.

This brooder is extremely disappointing. The wood is low quality and feels fragile, with several pieces arriving slightly warped. No assembly instructions were included, and while a few pilot holes were pre-drilled, many were missing, which made the setup unnecessarily difficult. The electrical components raise serious safety concerns. The wires for the bulb were not connected to the socket, and the included bulb is made of plastic. I do not consider this unit safe for providing heat, and I would not feel comfortable placing chicks in it. Overall, this product does not meet basic standards for quality or safety. I would not recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable brooder.

Upon arrival the bulb was shattered. Disappointing
