The Atlantis Series Continues...
I like this series, but I think Book 1, with its zany characters, was the best. I've enjoyed Books 2 and 3, but the characterizations are different. The female hotshot pilot continued with her potty mouth, but the other characters generally no longer featured the zaniness they had in Book 1. All three books feature cliffhangers, so be prepared. I understand that there is at least one more coming--I think that the biggest risk for the author would be carrying the series on too long. But what do I know? I still enjoyed it, and believe that it's a good read. We need to find out how it all comes out.

Moving forward
As the third book in the series the story line clears a bit. I look forward to the next book to clear it even more. With 2 major streams it is interesting how they will pull together

Confusing but exciting
There seemed to be 4 or 5 stories going on at the same time. Too often it seems the easy or convenient way to get out a difficult problem by giving someone special powers. Here it is Chi, could have been The Force if not copy righted. The first 2 books were better. I would like to know in advance that I need to purchase several books to get the complete story.

Kaden Jaxx Is Learning
Kaden Jaxx is truly learning what his talents are; having finally realized that he is not truly an "Earthling."Jaxx' supporting characters, from numerous civilizations on other worlds, are a very strong crew, and the plot, while taking sometimes too many twists and turns, is solid in its core: trying to save Good from Evil. What makes this book sometimes difficult for many of us is the tendency to drop into a foreign language. My humble suggestion is that, having established the there are many different languages, among them Japanese and Alien, Ellis should simply show the dialog, not the foreign languages. Or, as this takes place in the future, fall back upon a Star Trek type of "Universal Translator" device, which allows people of diverse languages to converse without difficulty.Mya is a fascinating character and I look forward to seeing how she develops – what she’s going to be when she grows up. Drew is an excellent cross between a pot-head and gear-head; there are many other strong characters and as they work their way through Book Four, it will be interesting to see How Ellis ties this up going forward.I am not sure why a few of our fellow reviewers have chosen to give such low star reviews, even after reading their view of this book. There is a very strong core of both plot and characters, and Brandon Ellis hopefully will bring them together as he gets close to the conclusion. My fifth star was withheld only due to the language issue, as it brought me up short every time I got to one of those sections. Otherwise, warts and all, this is a very good book.Atlantis was real, and Ellis brings it to life once more!

Hold on tight.
Couldn't think it could be any wilder then the last one. It was. Get it.
