LEISURE TIME 45430A Brom Tabs Bromine Cleanser for Spas and Hot Tubs, 4 lbs

TLDR: The packaging and tablets are not the same as I bought a year ago. I ordered a 4lb container of bromine tablets last year and I really love the product. This year on re-order, I received two 2.2lb containers which is technically more than I paid for. Picture shows old 4 lb container beside the two smaller containers.Initially, I was pleased but when I opened the containers, the format of the tablets has changed as well. The tablets used to be a cylindrical disc and were quite dense. The new tablets aren't tablet shaped at all but resemble the form of a packing peanut. I used to use one disk per week and it worked perfectly for my 5-person hot tub. I have to use two of the new tablets now, I assume because they dissolve quicker. I'm not dissatisfied but I really wish the tablets were still in disc format.I loved the old product and I hope that the new format will still have good results. So far, water seems a bit hazier than before. Time will tell.

This products keeps my hot tub perfect

I've used many Leisure Time products in my spas over the years and they haved always performed well. A four pound container will last a very long time but the cost per pound is about 1/3 of what I would pay at the local pool and spa store.

Good value but, the tablets don't stay fully intact.

Tablets are great in my jacuzzi

We got some of these tablets in with our starter kit when we purchased our Spa and they work great. The only problem we ran into with this product when it was shipped. The Bromine is considered a "hazardous" material so Amazon was unable to ship this via Fed X 2 Day shipping. They had to send it via ground and instead of getting it in 2 days it took 6 days from the time I ordered it to when I received it. I just want to say if you are buying this product for your spa you'll want to order it early enough so that you receive it in time before you run out. This package being 4 lbs. should last us quite a while. Another thing to note is that the chemicals balance better and stay balanced longer with the addition of Calcium to the water. Because it stays more balanced for a longer period of time we aren't going thru the Bromine near as fast as we were without the Chlorine. It does a great job of keeping the spa clean. We've had our spa up and running 1 1/2 weeks now and no problems with the chemical balance or excessive foaming that sometimes happens when the chemicals get out of balance. I have noticed that another website "TheSpaDepot.com" indicates on their listing that this product is not able to ship via Air. This is something that Amazon needs to do instead of unspecific "shipping" instructions that are confusing at best.

Good bromine but not what I expected. My floater takes 1" tablets that stack. These pills do not fill my floater adequately therefore you have to add more frequently.
