⚡ Power your connections with premium protection—conductivity that never quits!
MG Chemicals 8481-1 Premium Carbon Conductive Grease is a synthetic oil-based, silicone-free conductive lubricant designed to improve electrical connections on irregular and vibrating surfaces. It boasts a low volume resistivity of 160 Ω·cm, exceptional corrosion resistance proven by over 550 hours in ASTM B117 salt fog tests, and excellent thermal stability that prevents separation during temperature changes. Ideal for extending contact life and preventing arcing, this black grease is safe on plastics and perfect for professional-grade electrical maintenance.

Quality product that works
Relatively expensive, but does what it says. You only get what you pay for. This grease goes a long way too. You only need a very thin coating.

No issues so far
I've used this on after market car speaker terminals. So far, I haven't experienced problems I had in the past, such as poor connection (speaker lost sound and I need to bang the door for it to come back alive) OR corrosion build up at the crimp connector that goes to the speaker positive & negative. Although the conductivity (as reviewed by some) is poor, but the keys are: 1. Prevent corrosion - sure you can smear grease over the connection point, but all grease out there are insulator. Their electric conductive value are much lower than this product. 2. Improve conductivity - most of the conductivity still happens at metal to metal contact. This product helps by filling in the gaps between the two metal that would not be touched other wised. Sure the resistance isn't that impressive but every little helps. However, I had to agree that this stuff is black and messy. So make sure you wear gloves and dispose of the gloves after you finished.

Perfect for Split-chassis locomotives
Bachmann split-chassis? Enough in this tube to lubricate hundreds of locomotives and ensure electrical continuity. Does not seem to affect the nylon bushings or other plastic. Black grease. Perfect.

Does exactly what it says
It’s a carbon conductive grease and em proved the contacts on my Ebikes

Good Product
Decent size tube, comes with a nozzle although I chose not to use that as the product is very messy and I only wanted to apply a very small quantity to circuit board contact pins. Product is black so needs care when handling to avoid staining. The product is very good and provides lubrication while also improving the electrical connection. It does exactly what it says, perfect.

I had a problem with my button batteries losing connectivity ...
I had a problem with my button batteries losing connectivity before the had run down. These were those used out of doors or in a steamy kitchen. (Wireless bell push, dog rouge light etc.) The batteries continue working much longer since I used the tiniest smear of this grease to improve the connectivity. (I’m talking years longer)

Only use a tiny amount.
You get a lot in the tube. But only need tiny amounts.

Warning very messy.
This is very messy so only use as a last resource. I put some on some paper and put in my multi-meter probes and the resistance was higher than expected.

no es un buen conductor.

After reading Guzzar’s review I bought to see if this could fix my Siemen’s circuit breakers (CB) overheating where the CB contacts onto the backplane tab. WORKED BEYOND EXPECTATION! Fixed two problem breakers that were overheating at tab contacts. Power off, clean backplane tab w fine sandpaper keeping debris out of box, thinly grease tab and new CB contacts, reinstall. I needed new CBs because old CB’s contacts arced. And it’s not the new CB, new CB in past still overheated but with this grease they run cool. One 100A breaker feeding garage was fine until I stressed it by charging newly bought electric car. With clean tabs, grease, and new CB it runs cold. Great stuff.

As the title eludes to, this grease is messy stuff. I highly suggest wearing disposable gloves and using the dispensing tip that comes in the package with the tube of grease itself as you don't need much of this grease to thoroughly coat anything you need to use this on. I mostly use it to coat ground connection points on vehicles since this grease doesn't wash away easily and is electrically conductive, so it prevents corrosion and ensures a solid connection will be present for the forseeable future. You could use it on electrical connectors/terminals as well, but then you'll need to be very precise in your application of this grease as again, it's electrically conductive, so any stray grease could potentially bridge connections and cause much bigger issues. But as long as you keep this products attributes in mind while using it, it's a fantastic product to have around and the tube is big enough and you need so little at a time that this tube should last you for many years.

Gerade auf einem Karton einen ca. 5 cm langen Streifen angeschmiert und el. Widerstand nachgemessen. Mehrere hundert kiloOhm (!) Ein dicker Klex ca. 5mm x 5mm x 5mm hatte 2,1 kOhm
