I've been looking for a blanket to replace a Berkshire blanket called "Perfect Touch" I've had since 2009 and this is it! I wanted something light weight, comfy, and cozy that doesn't get so hot like many do. When I first got it i thought it might get hot because its soooo fluffy, but it doesn't. I know some have complained about shedding or it coming apart after washing. I've washed it several times, following the washing instructions provided and haven't had any issues at all, really nice quality for the price!Oh, and its cat approved too.

I love these Berkshire throws! Unfortunately, so do my college age kids!! They are so light & fluffy,and warm, perfect for snuggling up on the couch or to add an extra layer on the bed when its really cold.I love all the fun colors and they really make a nice seasonal decor/accent pop of color! They hold up well after washing and dry quickly——I let them air dry after a quick (10-15 min) fluffing on “no heat/fluff” setting in the dryer .The quality is excellent and much better than other brands I’ve tried; I only buy these now. And especially after mine “disappear” when the kids headback to school :)

I have several of these blankets and they keep me warm. To keep them fluffy and soft I wash them in cold water with a mild laundry detergent. I use a top loading washing machine and use deep fill so the blanket doesn't rub against itself that much. Do not use fabric softener on these as it will ruin the blanket. Dry on the lowest heat setting or air dry.My cats also love them.They are high quality and worth every penny.

It came as described and I think some people will like it. It is fluffy but does shed a bit.(however I have washed it yet) My main thing is that it just isn’t as soft as I was hoping. It also felt a little light even for a thin blanket. I’ll still keep it maybe for the dogs.

I don't understand some of the reviews, but I bought 2 of these throw blankets because I really like the color. The blankets arrived yesterday and I washed them immediately. I put them in the dryer, checking it often because a few reviews stated how badly they shed. I have to say, the 2 I bought did NOT shed as was stated. The blankets shed very little. I washed them on the normal cycle and dried them with a low heat setting. So, I'm glad that I took the chance and bought them! They are soft, fuzzy, light weight and so nice to wrap up in while taking a nap!Update: I ordered 2 more throws in the yellow/gold color, they arrived yesterday, Again I followed the washing instructions on the label. Again barely ANY shedding! So I think the people writing complaints about shedding must not be following the label instructions. I now own 4 of these throws because our grand kids and great grand kids love them because they are so soft and cuddly! I definitely will be buying more as gifts.

When you first receive this blanket, it’s so silky and smooth and soft, albeit way thinner than I thought it would be for the price and from this brand. After sleeping with it the first night, I noticed the excessive shedding…like our bedroom was just covered in this blankets fuzz! So I washed it…however, I knew based on the thinness and fluffiness of this blanket (as opposed to some heavier 100% polyester blankets that are silky but not fluffy) that it would probably act like faux Sherpa and get rough on me if I used heat, so I washed it on a gentle cycle with cold water and a little soap. Then I threw it in the dryer on a low tumble air dry (AIR DRY, so no heat whatsoever) and, of course, it came out way less fluffy. AND it continued to shed like crazy. After a third wash, the shedding is not as bad all over, but it still is on my side of the bed…the only reason I can think is due to my more calloused feet and prickly leg hair from shaving. So, unless you wear long pants and socks to bed and don’t mind the texture of slightly matted Sherpa, than this blanket isn’t for you. The color is pretty and it’s nice and big, plenty space on all sides for me and my husband in a king bed…but I wouldn’t spend $40+ on it again. So we’re still in search of a 100% polyester blanket that rivals Costco in thickness, smoothness, and no change in texture after washing (and you can even wash and dry the one from Costco with heat)

Berkshire is a brand I've trusted for more than 15 years, but it seems they no longer make my favorite polar fleece blanket with whipstitch edges. I decided to try this newer sherpa option. Out of the box, I was concerned that the fabric felt thin. Other reviewers reported major shedding issues even after multiple washes. Fingers crossed! My blanket went in and out of the washer with zero evidence of shedding. Same result from the drying phase. BUT when used, this blanket sheds profusely, leaving clothing and beds covered with messy lint. Can't yet speak to longterm durability, but the shedding issues cancel out its postive traits of warmth and softness. I wouldn't buy this again, and will be asking for a refund. Berkshire, please bring back the polar fleece from past years.
