I have had a ring doorbell with batteries for years. I got so tired of charging batteries. I bought a new Ring doorbell and a charger plate and this extension cord. My husband put the plate & Ring doorbell up and drilled a hole in our wall and plunged it in and no more charging batteries. Has been setup for a couple of months now and works great!

Great cord to extend the distance between my camera and power source, works great

The cables are deployed outdoors year round under weather cover but it is exposed to high temperature high humidity and freezing temperature. The cables are fixed in place and not blowing in the wind. So, the exposure to the extreme element did not affect the electrical contacts for the last few years.
