I got this because I am a candy maker these days and needed it for making lollipops. I actually use this heat lamp as an alternative for a glue gun when I'm doing a big glue project like feather work. I just cut a few glue sticks into small pieces and put them in a Pyrex bowl and lower the lamp head over it. After about 10 minutes or so it's liquified and it stays that way as long as I need it to. I just dip the items I want to glue and put them in place. The mess is minimal and I can work faster and more efficiently. The bulb gets super hot, you have to be very careful and avoid touching it or you'll have 3rd degree burns within seconds.🙂
