Elinora Pet Urn for Dogs and Cat Ashes, Hand Carved Brass Pet Cremation Urns (Patina, Medium)

This urn is the perfect tribute for our beloved cat. Sturdy, made nicely. The handle was coming off, but a quick tightening of the screws with a flathead screwdriver, secured it.

I’ve never felt the need to cremate a pet but Henry was extra special. The box he was returned to me in was nice. But I wanted something special that wouldn’t get mistaken for a jewelry box. As I read about urns, I realized a lot were lightweight aluminum and didn’t have screw on lids. I found this one and liked the story of the company. The price was actually cheaper than the plain aluminum ones offered by other sellers. This is heavy pewter and brass. The deep etching is rough to the touch so don’t go hugging it in a sweater or it will pull and tear as I just found out. But it’s just beautiful. Just like the photo. Brushed nickel finish with gold etching. My sweet pup was so compacted that I had a hard time getting him in the urn without tearing the plastic. He was only 16 pounds in life so I thought buying a medium would give me just enough room. The neck opening is narrow. He barely fit intact in his plastic bag. He can’t come out again unless I want spilled ashes. But that’s ok with me. Secure screw top lid feels solid. The whole urn is heavyweight and exactly what I hoped it would be. I’ve been loving and losing pets for 6 decades. This is my first cremation. I’m glad I did it. It was affordable in my area of Texas. Emotionally, it was a huge relief to put Henry back in our home instead of in the ground. I don’t picture him decaying which for me was very comforting. This company provides a great quality product with a price point better than the cheaper alternatives. Came packaged so well that I’m keeping the box in anticipation of a move in six months.

Beautiful and well made. I did notice some minor scratches, but nothing anyone else would notice at all just seeing it on a shelf or mantle. You have to be looking very very close to notice. Just felt I should mention this in case it might bother someone. Didn't bother me what so ever... and I wanted to get the best i could affod. For the price, its definitely worth it. I didnt want a ceramic urn as I would be crushed if I broke it. Wood didnt feel right for my baby girl. Definitely take extra care to protect it if you need to pack it up to move or something.Beautiful home for my kitty's ashes. Room left for a favorite toy or collar. Not too much room though. Wish I didnt need it yet.

When you receive your urn from this company make sure you look at the label “all” labels because they use the same box for different sizes but they do not cover up the smaller size that is labeled. This at first glance makes you think they sent the wrong item but if you look closer there should be another label with correct size. When removing from box be careful due to slivers from the art work on the urn. You will probably need to tighten the screws under the cap as well. My handle fell off when screwing the cap down! With all that said it is beautiful and sturdy. Call me cheap but I think I paid about $10 too much but anyway. I purchased the green medium for my beagle who passed. Phineas was about 45lbs at passing and he fit fine. I even left him in the bag. If you choose to pour your ashes in the urn then I think it could hold a 65lb animal after cremation. I searched for hours and hours after my Tuck passed for an urn that was fitting for his beautiful life. I was very excited when I found this item and thought it was just perfect. However, upon receipt, I was beyond disappointed. This item looks like it had been etched by a child. What is worse is the amount of just plain scratches all over it. It looks like it had already been used and rolled in gravel yet the packaging was in perfect shape. Adding pain on pain in a time when my family is trying to heal.Emailed CJ at BestFriendServices the day i received my replacement urn to report that the replacement was even more scratched than the first. It took 2 full days to get a response but I was relieved when he said they of course would make it right. He said that the maker of the urn had a bad shipment and that they pulled them all but that maybe they "tried to slip some by us". He asked for some additional info on my order numbers which I gave the very next day. Now it has been an entire week waiting for a return email. We have called the company and left about 6 different voice mails requesting a call back and nothing. Bad service all around. Unfortunately I now have to start a new process of searching for an urn. This has been a horrible and sad experience.

I have been looking for an Urn for my beloved pet for some time. I wanted one that would be special for him. I finally decided on this one and I'm so glad I did. It arrived quickly and I was impressed that it came with a pretty velvet bag if you wanted to cover it for protection etc.. It is very different from a lot of the urn I looked at and I think it is absolutely beautiful. Very happy with this purchase even though it is for a sad situation. I feel better knowing my sweet loved pet will have a beautiful resting place. If your looking for something that is good quality and unique this is it.

Both the quality and appearance of this urn are top-notch. The threading for the screw-on lid is perfect and it fits quite snugly. The color of the urn itself is just beautiful; much nicer looking in person than in the photo. And the detailing is nice yet subtle and doesn't jump out at you.Additionally, in the photos, the handle of the urn is straight up, but in real life, the handle lays down.I'm very impressed with this urn and it does justice to the loved one inside.
