GuardianGear Nylon Martingale Dog Collar, Fits Necks 10" to 16", Ultra Violet

This is a great collar for me Italian Greyhound. It fits her great. but is a little difficult to adjust over her head since her neck is so much smaller. The color is bright so that is good. Very true to the picture.

I got this for my foster dog and it works great. The only thing I will look for next time is a safe release as this does not come with one if there ever was an emergency.

The color is great, and the collar is sturdily made, but the size is way off. My shibe's neck is 13" and her head is 14". Fully expanded, it measures 12.5". The tag says it'll expand to 16" which is incorrect. I couldn't even get it over my dogs head. Had to return for a different isze.

My family member brought home a shelter dog who was not trained at all. This dog would try to run and pull on the leash so hard that it would collapse his trachea. After a few seconds of pulling on the leash the dog would have trouble breathing and start honking like a goose. I ordered this collar after watching Brandon on the "Lucky Dog" tv show using them. This collar is great the dog tugs and immediately stops pulling. He is much better on walks and just taking him out side in general. This is probably the fastest working most humane choke collar there is. It only constricts if he pulls and it does not pinch. Dog is 15 lbs and it fits great.

Got two of these for my papillons. The positive is that they can't back out of the collar. The negative is that if I tighten it enough to fit properly around the neck, it is really hard to take on and off, especially with their long fur. It tends to pull their ear hair and they get upset about that.

First of all, I think Martingale collars are wonderful! I love that you can limit it's constriction around the dog's neck! Secondly, I find Guardian Gear's products to be reliable. I've not had a chain break yet! One suggestion when considering a Martingale collar - my daughter's 3 yr old Husky has the one w/the chain, as I do for two of my three dogs. Her dog ALWAYS gets a dewclaw stuck in the links, so she's now using a quick release/safety collar (fortunately, her dog is trained to the hilt so didn't need that extra schooling edge of the Martingale). I've never had that happen to my dogs. This particular one I ordered is for my GSD puppy. I didn't want the chain in case it got stuck in her VERY rapidly growing puppy toe nails.

This is a fine martingale collar. The color was not as vibrant as I was hoping. It doesn't feel extremely sturdy, but good enough. It is nice and soft, not stiff. If you want a really great one, get a Lupine!

Purple color is true to the picture. The collar adjusts just fine. There is only one loop on the collar to attach stuff. Does a good job of staying tight to my dog's neck so she can't "back out" of the collar like she likes too. Overall, very happy. The only thing I will say, and of course this could just be my experience, is it took about two weeks to get this collar (outside of the estimated delivery date window) and they put someone's else's name on it so I didn't even think it was mine even though it came right to my door. Product good, shipping experience not so much.
