Looks to be equal quality of the name brand boat knife I use. It will be used in an ocean environment cutting bait and gills. Time will tell but I can 3 of these for the cost of name brand.

The product description says these are paring knives. They are not. Paring knives have a pointed tip.

I've bought this knife many times for myself and others. It's super sharp--perfect for paring apples, slicing cheese, etc.

I bought this primarily to slice tomatoes. It does saw through a tomato but it does not go through in a nice smooth slice. I think the serrations are too wide. It also feels flimsy. I don't recommend it.

this seems like a great bait knife. Sharp as heck. don't know how the blade will hold an edge (doubtfully great) but cutting a bit of bait should work fine. I'd rather have a little sheath that I could keep it on my hip, but alas, not everything is easy to find on amazon.
