Silicone Slide n' Save Bags by Modfamily - (1 Liter) Reusable Eco Friendly & BPA Free - Airtight & Leak Proof (3 Pack)

I'll start with what I didn't like, since it is just one thing and it's minor. There is a learning curve to getting the slide lock on and off, the first time it seemed impossible, I persisted. It came off. I have no problem now getting them open and closed.The good stuff? LOTS. EASY to clean. No deep corners or crevices for food to get stuck in, the 'corner' is curved. They are gusseted. You can stand them up to fill them. They don't leak. I mean, they really don't leak. They don't break if you drop them. They hold a lot. You can microwave them, freeze them, eat right out of them. And oh my, you don't need a whole closet to store these things! ALL my old food containers are now gone (I tossed them out). I've ordered more of these. The food container I've been searching for all my life. And they fit in one small drawer and I don't have to search forever for the right size lid. <3 These

These are amazing. I have basically stopped using plastic ziploc baggies since buying these (and I bought these in 2018). They’ve lasted over two years with constant use, and everyone who sees me using them always comments on how handy these seem. If you want to reduce your plastic waste and better protect your food, this is it. Cleaning is easy, but drying can be challenging. I’ve found the best way to dry these is to leave them out to air dry, but I put a cup upside down on the counter and open up the silicone bag over the cup so that it’ll air out better. Also these can be a little hard to close, but if you just make sure you pay attention to the little arrows on the silicone bags, you’ll always know which way to close them. Bonus- these bags don’t retain any smells. I have put many smelly foods into them and they never stink after washing.

These are very nice and thick and durable. Wash easily with just hot soapy water. I wish they were a bit bigger though. The only downside is the slider bar is hard to push over the bag and remove from the bag. Other than that, I can't wait to try them out in a cooler when we go camping!

I was surprised at how difficult it was to open the bags. I felt like I was going to rip it even though the silicone is very sturdy. But I like that it stands up, has measurements on the side and it can be easily cleaned by throwing it in the dishwasher. I haven't had a chance to reheat leftovers in it yet but I did heat up water in it just to see how it worked in the microwave. Perfect.

I bought two types of reusable bags, these silicon ones and a plastic version from another brand. The plastic version ripped within a month, but these are SOLID. I have had them for almost a year now and they are still going strong. Super durable, easy to clean (no mold or nasty black stuff), and I think the design with the closing attachment gives me the security that they are really tightly sealed and will last forever. The silicon is thick so it will not tear. So these are a win! I just wish they made more sizes. I am currently looking for a larger size bag for marinating. Please make some!!! :)

8/18/18 Received three (3) bags of 1 L (30 oz) size. At the time of my order, the listing stated 3 bags, size not listed, but way down in the Description it stated four (4) bags of 1.5 L (50 oz) size. Pictures are of 1 L (30 oz) size then and now, but the four (4) bags has been changed to three (3) throughout. Please fix your listing! You're wasting customers' time and the world's energy as we ship and return this "green" product. I need the bigger bags, so I'm returning these smaller ones.

These are heavy duty, and may be good for long-term freezing or something like that. However, for every day use, the weird mechanism of having to slide a plastic rod across the top to seal the bag is very inconvenient. If you will be using these frequently for lunch or snack, better to buy a type that has a simple zipper-type seal.

I absolutely love these bags. They have definitely saved money and prevented me from buying more plastic that just gets thrown away. The bags themselves are very thick and easy to use - just hold the end opposite of the end that you are putting the slide onto and shimmy the slide over. They do take a little time to clean, but it's definitely worth the money and environmental impact otherwise. 100% buy!

These bags are fantastic. Easy to use and clean. When new the seal is stiff and this is wasily remedied by running under water. After that the seal is really easy to slide. Very convenient. I would buy again.

Good product. The bags are really thick and strong. Perfect for keeping things fresh. The part that you slide can be a bit tricky to put on.

Well for me this is an easy review, so firstly, admittedly they are not the cheapest, but if you can afford to take the plunge then buy them as you will make the money back on what you save buying plastic freezer bags, they are easy to clean I just turn them inside out and stick in the dishwasher!!!And to top it off most importantly I know that from now on not one plastic freezer bag that could end up poisoning or killing our wildlife isn’t one of mine! Or yours,!

I found the plastic closing strip quite hard to use the first couple of times, as it was very tight. Eventually it loosens up and slides properly. When full of food and frozen these pouches are, unsurprisingly, pouch-shaped. This makes them quite difficult to store in the freezer, and they do not stack or store neatly with other frozen articles. Having said that, they are better than single-use plastic bags and they do hold a decent amount of food, ie two/three portions of cooked curry or vegetables, depending on the appetite of the individual. They wash well at first, but we haven't had them long enough to witness any gradual staining.

So pleased that I no longer have to use and throw away plastic containers. These are sturdy, easy to use, and space saving containers for liquid foods, soups and stews etc.
