Not great for calligraphy beginners
It was ok, but hard for a beginner to use for calligraphy. Also it ran out after about half an hour's usage.

Great pens - ideal for sketching. These are Japanese fude pens designed for Japanese calligraphy. Apparently some American reviewers don't know the difference between China and Japan and assume that "calligraphy" must refer to English written in the Latin alphabet.
