Both halves fit together really well.
I used these to clean a few disassembled watch movements. The parts came out clean and there was no loss of the really tiny watch screws. The ultrasonic cleaner is a small 40Watt unit and the basket was suspended in the liquid so it did not contact the ultrasonic cleaner itself. If you don't have goo cleaning solution, a dollop of 409 or similar cleaner should do the trick.
