This handy Women's Shoe Instep Raiser helps relieve pressure on the most difficult area of a shoe to stretch: the instep. Its adjustable design allows you to stretch the instep to your desired height, which helps relieve pain and uncomfortable tightness; in new shoes, it can help eliminate the break-in period. Its slim form fits into most shoes.

After buying a pair of Leather Safety Clogs from the Danner store, i realized that my right foot was slightly bigger than my left. This left me with a terrible soreness in my foot every time I wore my new shoes. I suffered through it for a couple weeks hoping my shoe would stretch out but to no avail. I bought this instep raiser as a last resort hoping I wouldn't have to get rid of these very expensive shoes. After leaving the unit in my shoe overnight the shoe fit perfectly! I was able to walk around again with no pain at all. Now these are my favorite pair of shoes. Definitely will be keeping this thing around for the next time I might need stretch out some leather shoes.

Serious Unit for Stretching Tight Insteps
A very solid stretcher for tight shoes for high insteps. I have stretched 4 pair of shoes with no issues. We ordered a Women's Large Stretcher for a Women's Shoe size 10 & it has been great.. Only issue I had was the threads were real dry & after a little synthetic grease on the threads of the stretcher it worked much easier. I also use a 12" piece of dowel rod to tighten stretcher handle so you can put some serious torgue on shoes . Just watch construction of shoe around sole to not pull out material. I apply several doses of 75% soft water/25% alcohol to leather before stretching, alittle more while stretching..let dry over night..

This product saved my shoes!
I wear a popular brand of clogs for my job in healthcare. I was dismayed when I purchased a bargain pair from an auction site and found that they were way to tight in the instep. I balked at the price of this instep stretcher, but finally caved when I realized that my shoes were unwearable without it. The clogs in question were much too tight for light wear. I took the plunge, and I'm so glad I did! I sprayed dollar store body spray (high in alcohol content) on the interior areas of the shoes which were most uncomfortable. I covered the stretcher with an old sock to protect it. I inserted the device and expanded it as much as possible. After 24 hours, I removed the stretcher and repeated the process with the other shoe. One shoe was tighter than the other, so I had to stretch it twice to achieve the desired results. I was very pleased to be able to wear the clogs that I once believed I'd have to give away! Even with the cost of the shoe stretcher, my clogs cost less than half of what I would have spent for a new pair in the store. My only concern is that the stretcher could be more sturdy. I had to turn the screw slowly and gradually in order to keep from breaking it. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Save your money
This is so disappointing. Opened the box and a bolt fell out. You probably need a special tool. My husband put it back as best he could. So I slid the gizmo into my shoe opened it as wide as it went and it didn't even hit the top of the shoe. You can't read the size on the box it all blurry. The packing slip says woman's large. The gadget slips around inside the shoe and doesn't stretch a thing. Sent an email to Amazon. The email on the box isn't a valid address for the company Justin Blair &Company. Since today is Saturday I'll pursue this further on Monday. It certainly isn't worth $42.95. If anyone orders this I wish you luck.

Fantastic idea, poorly made
I bought 2 of these. Both had the same quality issues:1. Main holding screw is made of weak metal and breaks. This happened to both units I bought.2. The upper surfaces of the product is well made, but they are poorly finished, with rough edges and Splinters.I still use it frequently and it does the job (although with broken screws it's harder to use). But this is a mediocre to poor product that could be amazing if it were manufactured properly.

does NOT work for hospital clogs
I bought these to stretch my danskos. First off these do NOT fit in the danskos well at all. I tried to make them fit with no avail, but proceeded to attempt to stretch the vamp anyway because as they were I could not get my foot into the shoe and keep feeling my toes because they were so tight across the top of my foot. I have been switching off right and left shoes every week for almost 2 months now, twisting the expander every other day or so. Not only did they not stretch the vamp, they flattened the arch support that is in the shoe!!!!My first attempt to stretch the vamp lasted a few days and the stretch didn't even hold overnight so I thought maybe if I did each shoe for a week it would work. Nope.Next I thought maybe some steam would help soften the shoe material so I put them in my bathroom for the week I was stretching them. No help there. Finally I just kept switching seeing minimal improvement in fit for the past few months and wore my other pair. By the end not only were the shoes not stretched even a little after a week out of the process, the arches are flattened.Admittedly I probably should have just returned the product when I found out they didn't fit my shoes, and the failure to stretch is more likely due to a material issue rather than a mechanical one, I mean this product has 3 moving parts so pretty hard to mess that up, but they did not work at all for my intended purchase, and if you are intending to use these to stretch danskos or sanitas, find another product, this one will not work.

A must if you have a high arch
This is the product I’ve needed my whole life and didn’t know existed. I have an exceptionally high arch, and this allows me to stretch leather shoes to fit without hurting my feet in the process.Look up online how to use rubbing alcohol and water to make your own shoe stretch solution. It’s as good as anything you can buy, and doesn’t have scent added.
