CricutJoy Xtra Cutting Machine

This cricut joy xtra is affordable and can do way more than the cricut joy. Would highly recommend getting this one instead of the joy since this has a sensor and is compatible with a home printer allowing you to make stickers without any problem. It also allows you to do bigger projects than the cricut joy since it’s bigger. You could easily make larger than mat projects with this machine, 3 foot piñatas, larger logos, and it is easy to use. Love that you can make many projects without spending too much like you would with the bigger versions. It’s a great size so you could even fit it on one of those 3 tier carts with wheels and have your own movable cricut station. The downside is that it does not have the scoring option and you won’t be able to engrave. Love this machine and would highly recommend if you want to get into the cricut wagon. It’s a perfect first cricut.

What a JOY ... pun intended for sure. It's so much fun and watching videos on Angie Holden's Country Chic Cottage via You Tube that make it MORE than a JOY. She is a delightful representative for this product; gives in depth information and answers questions and replies to comments left. I am keeping it BECAUSE OF HER!! I wanted a machine that would just CUT ephemera out for me from digital kits I buy on Etsy. AND she had a STEP BY STEP work-a-round for it!!! This is a lot of fun to use, cuts beautifully, and the compact design and quality of the machine make it a properly named JOY!

I have a project that I needed a vinyl cutter form but my house is tiny so I have no room for something big. This machine is small enough to fit in the space I have and big enough to cut the size I need, and then some. I've tested it and it seems to work great so I'm looking forward to using this to make some great crafting projects. I couldn't be more excited to get started!

This machine is the perfect size! I purchased it for my daughters house when I visit. Love how you don't need a mat if you are using smart vinyl. It's small but mighty!

Pros- It cuts vinylCons- The Cricut software and machine are insanely locked down.- Must sign in. Requires an Internet connection.- Machine is registered to your account.- All designs must be saved to the cloud.- If they close your account, you lose your designs. They can also permanently disable the physical hardware.- Unable to save designs outside of Cricut to edit them with other software.- There is NO export feature. Cannot run designs from Cricut on any other brand of machine.- Cannot open a SVG file from your computer and hit cut. Must log in, then go through several additional steps to save to the cloud.- Third party software improvements are prohibited.- Not compatible with alternative "apps".- They can brick the machine and account for trying to use software besides Cricut.- They can force the machine to update at any time. Materials or features that worked fine yesterday are not guaranteed to work the same tomorrow.- The machine has no physical buttons. No start, pause, reset, load, eject, bluetooth pairing, etc.None of this was clear when purchasing the product. This is being returned in exchange for a Silhouette.

I have the larger versions of the Cricut and this one works just as well! I love that it fits a normal sheet of paper so I can still do print and cuts.

I love this machine for making stickers. It’s easy to use and compact so I can keep it on a small stand.

Overall a good buy.Does what its supposed to do,cuts both the cricut brand vinyl well and other brands.Cuts cardstock and sticker paper well.The size is perfect. The only issue I have is the bluetooth feature,sometimes my computer and the cricut workspace doesn't always connect,but I just close the app and open it again or do over the pairing process.While the bluetooth is a good feature wish I could just manually just attach it to my computer with a usb.
