Nice Kit, NO Packaging
The kit itself is beautiful. Well detailed, great fit, nicely detailed accurate cockpit. The reviewer who gave it a bad review after building 15 models may want to build a few more before giving this kit a negative review. It's the best 1/48 Hurricane on the market by far. Subtle texturing of the fabric covered areas of the real Hurricane is very effective. The negative is that when ordered from Amazon directly it came with NO packaging. The kit box had a shipping label on it. The box arrived pretty dirty and banged up. Fortunately the kit was intact, but left at the front door the decals would probably be damaged if it had been delivered a day earlier when we had heavy rain.

It's Airfix again for me
This is my second hurricane kit from airfix, and I'm sure it'll go together just as good as my first one did no complaints whatsoever

Great model!
Didn’t like the way it showed up with no outer package - but no harm done

Airfix needs to go back to the drawing boards
I can’t recommend this model kit. I had a very poor quality kit, with major parts not fitted even close enough for putty fillig. There is far to much cockpit assemby with most of it hidden from view inside the fuselage. While test fitting fuselage halves the vertical fin was warped outward at top probably too much for a cement hold. Test fitting fuselage to wings revealed about a 1/16 inch gap on one side.I was do disgusted with this kit I returned it for a refund. I’m an experienced modeler having built 15 various kits over the past few years.

3 stars-
Three stars given as the build needed some part trimming & refitting in the build process-nice quality kit - as good as Tamiya models I have -When finished it is a nice accurate model of that period of the aircraft's history-Thank you-Dave Richardson

Worst fitting aircraft kit ever
The fit the wings upper and lower vet bad. The wings fit to fuselage also very bad. I built many aircraft model kit from various companiesover last 40 years and worst kit ever .!!!! So don't buy this kit

WHAT NO BOX?
I'm a consistent customer of Amazon and every purchased I've made always come in a amazon box.But this time it comes with NO BOX ONLY THE ITEM WITH A STICKER ON IT. THE ITEM COULD BE OPEN BY ANYONE AND THE BOX A LITTLE CRUMBLE. WELL DONE.

NOT a Good Fit
Not sure if 2 Stars is appropriate (but it isn't a 1 Star review because of the Hurricane is an incredible aircraft - if that makes any sense..?)Let's see here...(with the usual disclaimer: I am not skilled at building models (though my Tamiya kits all seem to come together fairly well).1. Ok, the decals are ok. Not as thick as Tamiya's and not so delicate as others I've used. Easy to work with.2. The detail is ok (though, of course, nowhere near the detail of newer kits).3. This is the third Hurricane I've attempted. I tried the other Airfix Hurricane kit, followed by Tamiya's reboxing of the old Italeri kit (bad). The fit is, well, the fit is pretty bad. Major gaps at the wing root requiring extensive putty and sanding. Gaps at all the seam lines really. WARNING: Get the inner workings of steps 1 through 16 even the slightest bit off and you will not be able to get the tops of the wings on without a serious gap between top and bottom. Bad.4. As above, I'm not anywhere near an expert builder but I just can't see how so many others in the world of model building prefer Airfix to Tamiya (or Eduard). I built the newer Airfix Sea Fury and while the fit was better than this, that kit required extensive putty and sanding as well. Yes, I suppose that's part of the process but let me just say that if you want to really enjoy putting kits together without a lot of (what I think is unnecessary fiddling), this isn't the one to get (unless, of course, you're just like me and have to have a Hurricane build in your collection).5. Addendum to point number 4., I've researched this build extensively on Scalemates and YouTube and while I can be pretty fumbly bumbly with glue and sprue, it would seem that other, more experienced modelers around the globe run into the same problem(s) with these Hurricane builds.
