Nice attractive planter
A self watering plant? I put the wick in, assembled the two pieces, filled it with dirt, and put my pineapple plant in. Then I put a small container of water right by the pot and waited. Here it is a week later and that plant has not watered itself at all. I guess I’m going to have to help it after all.Okay, I’m not that stupid. I like these self-watering planters. I’m not bad about forgetting to water a plant. For me it’s overwatering. This slow absorption works really well. This is my third self-watering planter. The first two are smaller hanging planters and they have worked well. I still occasionally water from the top to mimic natural rainfall. However it’s nice to know I can forget those two for a few weeks and they won’t die on me. The absorption principle works well. In two weeks it takes quite a bit of water to refill. This planter itself is very solid plastic. There is some assembly required but it’s very basic. Install the cotton rope wick, align the slots for the top and bottom, push and twist. I suppose I’ll eventually need to replace the cotton wick but I generally re-pot about once every 12 to 18 months anyway. One word of caution. You can’t tell how high the water is in the reservoir until it’s at the top. Meaning if you’re not careful you’ll overflow the reservoir. Not a problem outside but it makes a mess inside. I use a small watering can and a flashlight. It’s slow but I don’t overflow it.My only complaint is I wish it had holes at the top so I could hang it. It doesn’t, but I have a drill and I’m not afraid to use it.

Great self watering planter
I’ve had these for several months and I love them. I order them any time I see them because they really help keep plants watered when your forgetful like me. They are easy to put together and once you have your plant in the base, you just water from the bottom so the plant pulls up only the water it needs. This is super helpful if you tend to overwater.Definitely recommend these and will be getting more in the future.Hope this is helpful.

LARGE, LIGHTWEIGHT & SHORT 🪴
It has a "self-watering" technology and it's fairly large. You can use this as a floor planter. Just keep in mind, the pot is wide yet a bit shorter than I anticipated. I recommend you measure the plant and pot you intend on using inside this planter. It should work for most large plants and trees. This can also be used for your faux plant and tree collection. If you go by science, the "self-watering" method used seems like it should work when used correctly. The plastic build is not the strongest but, as expected for the price tag. It works for my needs and is of fair quality for the value.

Looks Great, Pricy, Wick is Too Small.
These pots are good quality and look nice. The spout toward the bottom is where you add water. A wick then carries the water up. The wick is too shortRemove the spout, turn it against the wall and water as usual.
