Premium Parboiled Basmati Rice - A Culinary Triumph with Room for Improvement
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Parboiled Basmati Rice, and I must say it has its merits, making it a noteworthy addition to any kitchen. Here's a breakdown of my experience:Good Long Grain:The standout feature of this rice is its impressive long grains. They add a delightful texture to any dish, making it a visually appealing and palatable choice. The grains are slender and maintain their integrity throughout the cooking process.Sturdy and Durable:One of the major advantages I noticed is the rice's sturdiness. Unlike raw rice that can break or become mushy during cooking, this parboiled basmati rice holds up exceptionally well. It's a relief to have rice that doesn't compromise its structure when subjected to the heat and pressure of the cooking process.Survivable Through Biriyani Cooking:I put this rice to the ultimate test by using it to make biriyani, a dish notorious for being unforgiving to rice grains. To my delight, the parboiled basmati survived the biriyani cooking process without getting mashed. The result was a flavorful biriyani with each grain of rice retaining its distinct texture. However, no product is without its shortcomings, and this rice is no exception:Price Point:While the quality of the rice is commendable, the price is a bit on the higher side. It would be more appealing to a broader audience if the cost were adjusted to better align with similar products on the market.Availability Concerns:Another area that could see improvement is the availability of the product. There seems to be a d

Simply excellent rice
Yeah — this is pricier than picking up a bag of basmati at your local big box price club…but seriously, it’s worth it. ((Especially if you take the time to rinse your rice, it is way less starchy than most others.)) So if you are looking for those tasty, fluffy, individual grains of rice for biryani or whatever, give this a try. Also, since it’s parboiled, it’s a bit more nutritious and even has a lower glycemic index so it’s easier on your blood sugar too.

Love basmati
I love this basmati rice. Easy to cook whether it is on the stove or in the rice cooker. I add some olive oil and it comes out great. It is less sticky than regular white rice and is perfect for all sorts of curries and other dishes. The sack it comes in is convenient and makes for easy storage.

Parboiled so Cooks quickly.
We love Basmati rice and eat it quite frequently. Was searching for a new bag and found this long grain parboiled product so thought we would try it. We couldn't be happier. It is so easy to prepare. Simply rinse until water runs clear, combine water, rice, and a bit of butter, bring to boil, stir, reduce heat to low and keep covered for 18 minutes, let sit for five minutes, fluff with fork, and it's done. The grains are long and thicker than most we've had. It makes for a perfect complement to vegetables, tofu, or fish, which comprise our largely pescatarian diet. If you like a simple to use and delicious rice, this is the one for you.
