SPARK MINI BOOSTER Ultra-Compact Booster Pedal with PrimeTime Switching and Fully Analog Design

I've used quite a few other Drive and boost pedals in the past and this thing is easily the best with its transparent boost and its momentary switch mode for short bursts of boost. I use guitars with single coils (Danelectros which are hollow body so feedback is a given, Strats, P90 equipped PRSs, Teles, etc.) running into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for a variety of genres and even on high volume settings, this thing refuses to create any excess feedback or breakup. I find that running it with different drive, distortion or fuzz pedals help craft a better treble, bass or mid boost (i.e. running it with a Big Muff creates a mid-heavy sound, using a Rat boosts the treble a lot, etc.). It's also very sensitive to pickup selection, so switching to a bridge pickup and switching on this boost gives an amazing soloing sound in most any scenario.I adore how simple this pedal is, just one knob. On top of that, it has the brightest LED on my board, so I never have to guess when it's on! Great, great pedal, definitely the best boost pedal I've ever used and arguably one of the best drive pedals too!

This is the best boost on the market and the price is the sealer of the deal. At 50% it will blow your ears open and at 100% it blows the house down! I also used this product to replace a Donner Mini Compressor pedal (inferior imho). This has a better sustain, enhances the pickups without tone altering and is true bypass. It is a pocket rocket for guitar. I have used mine for over a year and I recommend this instead of compressors to people. It is just a plain boost but the benefits are more than that. I use a 335 through an Alto Powered speaker for a clean signal and this is what I use to push my acoustic pickup through the same unit. I have not had the (balls) to plug it to play into my computer/garage band- I may blow the circuit! But for sustain, loudness without any extra tone-altering-enhancing features it is incredible. I imagine where you put it in your effects chain will have some kind of different effects but mine is in front of my effects chain and is always on. It enhances them as far as I'm concerned.

Bought this for a clean boost for my acoustic shows. I do a lot of looping of rhythm guitar parts, bass & mouth percussion (beat-boxing). I use a Micro Pig Octave pedal for bass parts. Once all the parts get going it is sometimes hard to hear the lead guitar/solo stuff over the other tracks. It would get buried in the mix at times. This clean boost allows me to set the volume so that the lead cuts over the top of the looped parts. I imagine it would work equally well for acoustic duo for the lead player to get a nice boost while taking solos. The pedal only needed to be turned up to about 10% of the level that is available and works great. So if you need way more level/volume, that is definitely available. The best part about it for me, is that I did NOT want any distortion or "break up" sound of the tone. This pedal gives me a perfect, crisp, clean tone. I realize most people but his for their electric rig, and I may buy another one for my electric pedalboard, but for people who gig on acoustic guitars and play solos, this pedal is awesome. I've used it at two shows now and am absolutely happy with it. for $49, pull the trigger!

The TC Electronic Spark Mini Booster is excellent for my amplified Spanish guitar. It gives the perfect boost when I need to loop or highlight melodies for improvisation. The clean, transparent sound is impressive, and it’s super easy to use. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s a very simple pedal, and a bit more flexibility or features could make it even better. That said, it’s still a fantastic addition to my setup.

An absolutely perfect clean boost. This little guy will drive the front of your amp into some indescribable sweetness, or crank it up and get some huge overdrive. I found that the Spark Mini seems not to color my sound hardly at all. I've fed it into several distortion and overdrive pedals as well. It'll put extra hair on any pedal's chest. This truly is a great pedal, great build quality, great sound, and an incredible value. Oh, and the Prime Time switching is something only available on the Spark Mini, and it is a fantastic feature. The foot switch can either be a latching switch, or a momentary switch depending on how long you press it. It is a feature that every lead player should check out. I really don't think you can go wrong with the Spark Mini.

I’ve been longing for a lead volume boost forever and decided on this after watching a lot of comparison reviews. Small size and build quality seems very good. I use it in the fx loop, and I only need it set at about 10:00 to get a very noticeable lead boost. The drummer and bass player both commented on how good it works. I really like the tap and hold for fills. I tried it before the amp input and it adds a nice amount of gain without getting too bright or too dark. Zero regrets on buying this, it does exactly what I need with great results at a very fair price.

The TC Electronic Spark does exactly what you want out of a boost pedal with more than enough headroom for the task. I play it early in the pedal chain in front of my tube amps for a "juiced" clean sound. Kick it on in front of an overdrive pedal to send it into a more searing lead sound. Placing it after the overdrive boosts your sound to really kick it up a notch in the mix. I find it to be pretty loud and usually keep it on the more tame 9:00 side of the dial. You can really push the front end of an amp over the top if your neighbors or stage can handle it. Lot of pedal for the $$$.
