Best Garden Tool I've Found
I'd never heard of WOLF-Garten tools until I happened upon them here on Amazon. Others seemed to be happy with them, I decided to give them a try. I purchased this Weeder attachment, the Soil-Crumbler attachment, and the 59-inch aluminum handle. Odd that Amazon sold the handle, but the attachments had to be purchased through another vendor, so farewell to Super-Saver Shipping (which really makes Amazon the hands-down BEST online retailer. Thanks, Mr. Bezos!) but it all arrived within the same week, so I was ready to test drive them. The attachments snap in to the handle with a reassuring "click" and are suprisingly snug. There is a little play, but I have never found it to have any negative impact on the tools' effectiveness. Of the two attachments I bought, the Weeder is the best. As its name implies, you push it and pull it back and forth along the surface of the soil. Push down too much and it will bite into the earth, so a moderate pressure works bestThe tool has a sort of serrated blade on both front and back, neither of which is especially sharp, but the blade surface is thin enough to be a danger to any weeds that lie in its path. You can cut weeds off at the soil surface level quickly and easily. It will also make short work of grasses, even grasses with runners or in clumps. It doesn't get stuck unless you push it into a clump too thick for it to be forced through. I've used it on weeds, grasses, ground cover, old vegetable roots and stalks, and it works very well on each. it is also easy to clean by knocking off any dirt clods and hosing it down, then wiping it dry. This is a high-quality piece of equipment, easy to use and maintain, and it will save you some sweat and a tired back when you set out to prep your garden next spring. The modular system of which this is a part is a great value. I plan to purchase some new attachments for this year's gardening.

Built Tough, Easy To Use, Very Useful
This tool is what got me interested in the Wolf-Garten Interlocken set, and I have to say I'm hooked. I bought this because I have increased the size of my garden recently, and crawling around trying to hand pluck each weed had gotten really old. While this doesn't make all the weeds magically go away, I certainly feel a lot better after having used it.If you apply a little pressure and then pull the hoe down and toward you, it cuts the root below the surface without stirring up much dirt. For tough edges, you can use the front side and push, having a similar effect. After that it's pretty easy to gather up the loose bits, without having to dig in the dirt. It's really that simple (it's a hand tool, what else could you expect). It cleans up nicely, seems to be made of high grade metals, and being able to click it in and out of different handles makes it easier to use. The whole system is much more sturdy than I thought an interchangeable system would be, and I plan to buy several more of the add-ons (having already gotten the Garden Fork). Can't wait for an excuse to buy the next piece.

Great for weeding. Don't expect it to chop your lawn.
I just tried this for the first time today, along with a 59" handle (labeled 59' hahh). I first tried it for light weeding on a patch I used for gardening last year, and ZIP, easiest weeding tool I have ever used. Amazing. If I have to go over that area again , no problem because it's so easy and chops an inch or so below the surface, depending on how you use it, and you can go deeper.I put it to a really tough test, which it didn't pass and I wouldn't expect it to. I tried taking well-established grass off a lawn to make a new garden plot, and no, that didn't work. That took a shovel to turn the soil, with a roto-tiller coming next along with some compost to mix in.Once you have your garden space set up, this will be a great and almost effortless weeder. I will rate it 5 stars if it proves durable.

Comes Without Handle - sold separately in small print.
The photos show the weeder with the handle but in the small print, it says the handle is sold separately. Very deceptive!

Ok for light soil, smaller weeds.
Ground must be moist for this to work. This will not work for getting grass or large weeds out of flowerbeds, etc. but for small weeds it works surprisingly well. You get results with a "push/pull" motion. If your soil is rocky or very dry, you will find this ineffective, I'm afraid.Be aware that you have to buy the handle that attaches to this tool. It does not have screw threads allowing it to attach to standard handles. I will say that it is very well made, however, and should last a long, long time.

Missing half the tool
Not including a HANDLE? You've got to be kidding. Pretty sneaky way to sell an expensive garden tool. The product may be good but resent that fact not being clear and upfront.

Wolfgarten is the best.
Black and Decker, bring wokfgarten back to the states and retain the highest quality standards. No compromises. With the broad wolfgarten line, only needing a couple handles, tremendous space saver. My entire 22 ft garage wall is so overloaded with traditional shovels, rakes etc. Wolfgarten system would cut my garden tool storage needs by 75% minimum for sure and better quality on most stuff.
