Just perfect fit as a replacement

We had a few of these lights a few years ago. Unfortunately one out of 6 failed. But pleased to have got a new one.

Not bad, was initially alerted to the PSU having 'false' cable grips e.g. it looks rewirable but it isn't. However I popped the top off and looks pretty good. Not a fan of the higher secondary voltages, although of course this is also in the PoE range so that's probably the future for many commercial installations. Always like the Daylight colour temperature, it's underused and frankly Cool White should be banned! Especially in care homes etc... The unit itself looks solid, which is a bonus.It might surprise some that I have kitted out many utility rooms (kitchen, bathroom, WC utility etc...) in my cottage with these; the reason being that they have virtually NO back projection, and can even span cross a joist in a 12mm ceiling board. They give a great light, and the surface finish means that you can't really see them when they are off. So sticking to the original cottage look of no lighting at all, without having to resort to tacky looking brass candle fittings.This will now be going on long term test as I'll be fitting it to our (standalone) shower room.

Super value for money, the LED and the required LED driver for £14.00, the price as I finish this review.The only reservation I have is the hole cut out size of 153 mm, that is a 6 inch hole in the ceiling to mount this recessed LED. I think the manufacturer missed a trick here. If they had included a 2cm bezel that could be used to mount to the ceiling and the LED, it would require a much smaller hole for the power cable to pass through. At 2cm deep, it would still be fairly slim line.If you are happy accommodating the cut out this LED requires, then I cannot fault the quality of construction or the light emitted. It is excellent. They nicely diffused the light, so no real spot light formed below it. It really is an excellent value for the money package.

This is an LED lamp unit designed to be a ceiling downlight. In order to fit it snugly you must cut a 278 - 280mm circular hole in your ceiling material - be it plasterboard, wood or tile. You are advised to check the cost of such a cutter as it will add to your installation costs.One fitted the unit works well and the 6000K 24w I ordered gives a bright, cold white light. Each lamp you fit has its own transformer. I have found that they interfere with nearby DAB radio reception when turned on, the effect lessening to nil beyond about 25 feet. This, of course, may be down to the DAB radio I use (a PURE 'Siesta' radio alarm) and maybe nothing to do with the lamp transformer itself.

This is a great light all round as it has great output with low power, so it's super efficient! The only downside is that this doesn't have screws and instead is designed to be used as a recessed light. This would normally be fine except for the fact that it's a huge light and you're very unlikely to have a cutout of a light this size. You're likely going to need to cut a big hole in your ceiling. I'd recommend this if you already have the right size cutout, but wouldn't recommend creating the hole otherwise.

Seems to be well made and finished to a high standard.Looks modern, and wouldn't look out of place in any room.Comes with a power supply unit which steps the voltage down from 240v to 58v, and has a locking male / female connector to make installation and disconnection easy and quick.Super low profile, means it can be installed in very shallow ceilings where space is critical, and should be ideal for installation near joists as others have said.Would definitely recommend
