The compression is pretty loose
I used these for basketball, but they're not as tight as I would have liked. The pads are very well placed.

Use for lacrosse and tae Kwon do and they are perfect. The pads are soft yet protective. Have stayed like new after several washes - always hang dry.

Not bad for price
For the price I guess this isn't a bad buy. If you have a high school football and was looking to use a girdle with pads in lieu of pads in football pants this isn't the girdle for you. If just looking for additional cushion this will give a little additional cushion
