Hot and STRONG hands...
Bought to cover a Halloween-themed heart cake. This stuff is great but very hard IMO so it took quite a bit for me to get it malleable. But once you get it going it works great. If you find it to be too soft, you can mix it with regular fondant and I've found it gives a great, workable consistency. By itself I found it was too soft to make the tube-y parts of the heart. Plus it tastes great!

Great stuff - buy with confidence
I make my own modeling chocolate to save money, but this stuff is fantastic if I don't have time or am feeling lazy. I also bought the pre-colored purple, because home-dyed purple can fade quickly. I still have this pony, three years later, and it has faded very slightly, but it's not noticeably different.I made this piece in 90-degree, high-humidity Houston weather, and the modeling chocolate was still a breeze to work with. I occasionally had to put it down for a while because my hands were melting it a little, but not as often as the homemade stuff. The fact that it hold its shape upon first positioning - and can be smoothed at folds, cracks, and creases - makes it the perfect medium for figures that you know you'll be manipulating a lot. Fondant and gumpaste would crack or get elephant skin with the manipulations that I did here. This modeling chocolate integrates well with fondant, both to mix in, and to attach to each other as separate components (the eyes, hip star, and some of the mane/tail are fondant). It takes paint well, too - the white hip stars are painted-on white gel paste. The flavor isn't exactly gourmet chocolate, but it's much tastier than fondant!

You need this modeling chocolate.
Ok, I’m a super noob when it comes to modeling chocolate and was worried I was going to have the hardest time learning and sculpting. This product is awesome and is so easy to work with I have no fears moving forward with this. It’s exactly as it sounds, so the warmer your hands, the “melty-er” (is that a word?) it gets. When I’ve been working with the same piece too much and it gets to that point, I just put it down to let it cool off and then am able to pick back up where I left off. So the first time I used it, I colored it pink with pitaya powder, and although it worked, it wasn’t the greatest quality and I’m just assuming that’s because I used powder and it kind of was on the drier/cracky side (see pic). It works great with food coloring though, so that’ll be my go to with this product. Another cool thing about this is that when you sculpt and let it rest a little bit, you can go back over with a warm finger and blend any creases or imperfections! Overall, I’m happy and satisfied.

Fun and Delicious!
Our family was inspired to bake a cake, after watching all of the Nailed It! Netflix series. We bought this modeling chocolate to make decoration toppers, and it was a HUGE HIT!! We spent a good 1.5 hours all shaping and coloring and molding the chocolate into fun decorations. It was easy to work with, and everyone was really happy with how easy they could shape and etch their decorations into the chocolate. We made a bunny, a couple flowers, waves, and even leaves for the flowers. The best part was being able to eat it afterwards...the kids (really, ALL of us) were in heaven! It is really delicious and has a great flavor and texture, nothing like fondant. I highly recommend using this for your next baking endeavor, or family craft hour. ;) I plan to try it on cookies next...I think the flavor will be an amazing complement to the cookies, and we can do some really neat designs on the modeling chocolate.

Good product
I wanted to try Hot Hands modeling chocolate for a while now. It was very easy to use. It does come rock hard, so warming for a few seconds in the microwave is a must. Once warmed, it is very pliable, but I wasn't able to hide seams as well as I can with homemade modeling chocolate. I also really struggled to make a mermaid tail fin stay standing. I will use my leftovers for covering larger areas, but probably not for anything that needs to hold its own weight.

Soft, melty
Way too soft, even before I started working with it. I have hot hands, so I thought modeling chocolate made for hot hands would be a good choice, but this brand melts within seconds of me touching it. It's almost impossible for me to sculpt with it. Definitely a less superior product compared to other choices on the market.

Great For Beginners
I have only ever worked with fondant for the cakes I make, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I had such an easy time using this product. Wish I'd heard of it sooner! From now on, this will be my go-to for pastry decorating. A little goes a long way. It's a dream come true!

This modeling chocolate tastes amazing, and it super easy to work with!!!
I had taken a cake ball and sugar cookie decorating class at a local baking supply store. We used a different brand, which was good. Unfortunately, I ran out, and I didn't have time to go back to the store. I was making decorated sugar cookies for my niece's baby shower. I started experimenting with it, and it worked even better than expected. We made teddy bear cookies covered in modeling chocolate that is textured in the class. I made quite a few for the shower, and it was super easy! I also cut out flowers, hearts and such. On class, we used a mixture of half cornstarch and half powdered sugar to help keep it from sticking. It was crazy how much tastier this one is than the one at the store. It's reaslly easy to color with gel food colors. I had previously made my own modeling chocolate, and it was not even close to as tasty as this one!!
