This is a high quality heavy rope at half a pound, which is the max weight I want a heavy rope to be. You can still do double-unders at that weight, yet it's plenty heavy for your upper body to get an added pump.The size adjustment is easy, quick, and high quality. There is also an additional important feature that is not highlighted in the description. The metal adjustment piece inside the handle serves as a washer to protect the rope during rotations. The metal adjustment piece (instead of the cable) rubs against the handle as the cable rotates. So, I don't expect that spot to be a point of failure for this rope. I predict the point of failure to be the part of the cable that scrapes against the ground. That could mean a lifetime of use if you don't jump on an abrasive surface like concrete. Time will tell.

I used to skip rope many ,many years ago.I started again as a way to increase cardiopulmonary endurance.Apparently,we loose lung capacity as we age, and training with a jump rope is an excellent way to enhance lung capacity.The rope a metal wire covered in a a vinyl like material.I use a mat to protect my knees and the rope from fraying.It feels heavy when it swings around.Overall I am happy with this rope, I may graduate to a more expensive one in the future.For now I am happy with this rope and it looks like it will last a long time.Do recommend, for beginners. So you won't spend too much money on a rope you might decide not to use if skipping rope is not for you. In

I love this jump rope and have been using for my HIIT days. The rope length is adjustable and has good weight. I had been using this for more than two month. I waited several weeks to leave a review as I wanted to check its durability.. I love it and I highly recommend this to everyone for a quick workout!
