Perfect, did exactly what I needed. I have a medicine I inject my cat with and for some reason, the cap is very difficult to remove. The last time, I tore 1/2 my thumb nail. No more, an easy job with this opener!

I work in a hospital lab and we were having an issue with extracting body fluids from evacuated containers. Ideally, you would draw the fluid out of the bottle with a syringe, but that's not always possible, depending on the state that the fluid is in. Sometimes it's too thick for the syringe method, so the bottle needs to be opened. These vial openers grip the metal collar well and peel it back, easy as pie. I usually have to remove a few pieces to get the collar off, but it beats trying to use pliers or hemostats. These do the job cleanly and safely.
