Works well on a mug warmer, given its flat base. The handle is well-designed and comfortable. The steel infuser works well with coffee as well as tea.The only flaw is the lid. After using it for a day it started bending and on the third day started cracking. A glass lid would have been better. It would have been also better not to include a lid, instead of including one that is not suitable for the job.

My boyfriend bought me this because when I saw the photo I went "ooh! I like that design!" And I do like the way it looks. I like that you can see how dark your tea is getting. I like the style of the tea strainer and the wooden lid. But the thin glass does not keep the tea warm for very long, compared to my ceramic mugs. That's probably why they advertise it with a mug warmer. Luckily the tea strainer and lid fits my ceramic mugs. And also, this will be great in the summer when I want to steep a tea blend and then have it cool down relatively quickly. (Which is something I like to do.) So this will get use, but it's not that great for hot beverages without the mug warmer.

Cup is fine, nothing special. Size was exactly what I wanted. Design is great in that the basket is large and situated deep enough to get excellent hot water exposure for steeping. The lid gets an F-. I specifically eanted a steep cup with a lid to keep tea warm and steeping at the right temp. Pretty wood, but I haven't used it 10 times and it's already really warped. I only used the lod to set the hot basket on, and oyher than wiping it down to clean it, i didnt expose it to any chemicals, cleaners, extended exposure to water. I imagine I'll only get a few more uses out of it at most before it cracks and falls apart. I wouldn't buy this again, obviously.

I LOVE this mug. I am a loose tea drinker. I like to blend my own leaves. In the past I have purchased and used empty tea bags to fill but I think I like this mug better. It allows me to use as much or as little as I like. It comes with a lid to steep and its clear so you can see the color of your tea. Love it. Will buy more.
