Seems decently well-made but hard to read safety instructions
I have reached out to the American Astronomical Society for more information on this seller/vendor, because while the manufacturer, Cangan County Qiwei Craft Co, Ltd, IS LISTED on the safe solar glasses list, I can’t figure out the relationship between:a) The stated manufacturer in Hunan province,b) Their website, AbsoluteEclipse, that blogs about Changde City, a location in Zheijiang provincec) Their website’s stated business location, which does not refer to Absolute Eclipse as a DBA at all and instead says the company name is Gravitis Enterpise LTD, in Walnut, Californiad) Their Amazon seller name, Gravitis. That doesn’t mean the glasses aren’t legit, just that I cannot independently confirm that this company is being supplied by that manufacturer at this time. Anyone can grab the ISO logo and slap it on a design, but testing solar glasses takes specialized equipment I do not have. The general product itself does seem to be something you can order from Cangnan County Qiwei Craft Co on a Made in China website that connects buyers with Chinese suppliers. There is manufacturer contact information there, but for the purpose of these reviews, I can’t be in contact with any entity potentially profiting off of item sales in order to maintain neutrality/anonymity.Instead, I checked the AbsoluteEclipse domain registration via an ICANN Lookup and found that they made their website in mid-May 2023. So at the very least, this is not a company that has been around selling eclipse glasses since the last one in ~2017.Searching for Gravitis Enterprise LTD shows they have multiple international locations (again, not necessarily a bad thing, it’s just a red flag when the relationship between a DBA, a corporation, and a manufacturer is so murky), including in Spain and England. Their England location seems to operate a pet supplies operation. Clearly, they’ve hopped on an eclipse bandwagon and might just as quickly hop off of it—I wouldn’t count on this being a company you can go to long-term for your solar astronomy needs. Now for the good news! Should you trust these glasses? Probably. I tested them out on increasingly bright lights with no issue, finally looking full-on at a bright full spectrum plant LED light. Normally, I can barely look in the direction of that lamp; these glasses obscured the light and allowed me to stare right up into it without discomfort. A general rule of thumb is that if it hurts to look at something, you’re damaging your eyes. So far, these glasses are in the green.Of course I have nitpicks: why can’t I just buy ONE pair with a nice carrying case? If you rip or tear these, you must toss them out as they won’t be safe. But now I have to try to keep them unscratched for months until I need them. They do have a 2-pack on their website, so unless you really need 10, try to find a better deal. Then find a soft cloth like a microfiber towel to wrap them in.I knocked a star off for failing to print readable safety instructions. The font is extremely small and hard to read over the background design on the glasses. They needed to make those directions legible, or provide a safety insert. Knowing the product’s duration limits, expiration dates, etc. are important to protect your eye health here.If you have a high nose bridge like I do, you may need to cut into the nose piece for them to sit better on your face. However, it feels like they skimped a bit with the size of the viewing pane, and I’m a bit concerned that sunlight will be visible both above and below the glasses (imagine using a skinny sleep mask in a bright room—it wouldn’t work).Leaving this at 4 stars for now. Subject to go up or down as I am able to test them outside or get more information from the AAS.

Great for kids
I have four children from ages 2 to 9 and they were all able to use these as well as the adults. Worked perfectly for our little eclipse party and we only had one pair get torn so we'll have them for the next eclipse as well. Great purchase and no burnt eyes!

Warning: Do not buy
You can see light from regular light bulbs with these. Do not use them for a total eclipse! Id return them, but its too late!
