As always Neewer products are well made and packaged. Sadly the item in the box was not what I ordered but a 105mm macro lens. Someone had stuck the wrong bar code label on the side of the box.

Nice addition to smartphone photography, works well with the overall Neewer smartphone rigs

The media could not be loaded. I knew exactly what to get and I have the newer cage that this lens fits on and I can say it makes a difference while filming because it enlarges the angle quite a lot.I feel mostly interiors for real estate where I need to get as wide as possible in order to fit everything in the frame and we have about this lens I can do that. If it's properly on the cage that I have basically I just have to screw it make sure it is locked properly and then the functionality of it is as it should.I like the fact that he doesn't distort that much the video especially at the edges and the quality of the video that I got using this lens it is the same as if I wouldn't have it on.Overall this is a good product that does exactly what it has.

The lens feels very weighty and could instantly tell that it was of high quaity.Quick note: the lens itself shows very clear quality video, however as I do not yet have the case I was being clumsy with the video hence not true quality compared to having the lens locked into a case on your phone.The lens comes in a hard plastic shield which can they be placed inside the hard shell soft interior carrying case for transport and on the go. A microfibre towel is included for a smudge free experience. I will update this review with more pictures once I have the case to truly test the lens, but so far having used it holding up to the camera, the results are amazing. Truly a wide angle with tons more of the surrounding being included in the picture.Overall, with the addition of the locking case, this fish eye lens is a perfect tool for the casual or professional phone photographer in you!

This is the first time that I've ever been disappointed with a Neewer product !!Firstly at £56.99 this is way beyond the price that this is worth, and as a YT Tech reviewer, I've had similar lenses for half the price and without the need to purchase anything else to use it with (I'll explain)When you buy this you will also have to buy, a special cage/frame/case or back plate that has a 17mm thread to inable you to use this lense and that will again set you back another £40, £50, £60 plus ??The build quality is as always fantastic when you buy anything from Neewer, and this is made from premium grade materials.You will need to make sure that you have a compatible phone brand, make and model as again you will need that cage/fram/case thatll fit your phone, otherwise this will be useless and unusable.As Yt Tech reviewer I'm lucky enough to have a friend with the necessary case and correct phone at hand, to test out this lense, but sadly I really wasn't that blown away by it at all, and the other cheaper microscope lenses did a better job.The led light was OK but again needed to be that bit brighter especially since you really need to be almost touching what you are looking at.All in all and I'm saddened to say but this is only worth just 3 out of 5 stars, especially with the price being so extortionate

If you would like a better zoom for your phone camera, you can't go much wrong with this but it does have some caveats which I'll discuss below.The lens itself comes well packaged in it's nice little box and is easy enough to attach if you have the correct mounting frame on your phone.You can still continue to use the phones digital zoom just fine and looks great, but unlikely able to use 0.5, least on my phone it looks like that flips to another lens and is blocked.As the lens is fairly heavy at a 104g and is quite large when attached, it's not something you'll keep on all the time and you won't be slipping it back into your pocket with this, but as it's easy to stick on and back off, it's easy enough to put on when you need it, so long as your not in a rush. It also has a tiny little cap of the rear lens which is very easily misplaced, feel this would have been much better for some kind of switch cap or something.Otherwise I'm pleased with it, it gives a much nicer zoom than standard digital zoom and amplifies those even more, it's small enough to slip in your pocket and carry for when you need it, just remember you will need a compatible mount as it states.

If you purchased a rig and you were shooting on your iPhone, this is so necessary. I use this lens more than any other lens, I use this while filming my nephew, playing baseball, the videos are just amazing quality.

I thoroughly have enjoyed using this lens in combination with my Neewer iPhone cage which I had bought earlier for video work. Love the bokeh swirling like colorful arts. It has limit used so look into that. I understand another company is selling a similar lens for twice the price. It does make me wonder how much different in quality as this lens packs such a nice punch already. It does its job beautifully, and and so I don’t need to pixel peep. I don’t see color fringing or distortions.

Fun to play with, case needed to attach or a case that has the same size threading. Takes very detailed 40x photos, but you need to be touching the subject to get a good shot. I'll include a photo of a plant I took with it.
