In case you haven't noticed, the quality (smell, taste, cloudiness) of Carlson's main line fish oil has noticeably diminished in the last several years as the world awakened to the value of EPA supplementation. Maybe there is just not enough to go around?I was contemplating trying another brand but tried this line instead, being a loyal Carlson user since last century. This is the way it should be, a refined delicate taste with only a hint of lemon for masking. Not the slightest hint of rancidity. There is really no need for capsules when it tastes like this.Although much more expensive than their regular fish oil, it is also more potent and it seems the higher quality oils now go to this Carlson line. I normally swig it right out of the bottle but I did notice I was taking way more than needed. So, after careful re-measurement of my swig I am now back on track. That should make it last a bit longer. I wish they would do a half liter size bottle.2017 Update: note that the Amazon description and label image are now incorrect. Started using this on the advice of my cardiologist. Im not sure of the cholesterol lowering aspects but it does make a difference in the way my joints feel and how I recover.

I had an allergic reaction to this supplement, maybe too high of a dose for me. I love the fish oils Carlson sells in capsules and I have never reacted to those, but in this liquid form I broke out into hives on my body and around my mouth.

This is one product I do not and will not run low on or out of. It can get a bit costly, only lasting approximately 2 weeks per bottle. I purchase up to 4 at one time. I purchase through online sources due to the savings. This very same product can range fro, $20- 40. That is quite a discrepancy between retailers. Without this in my daily self-care practices, I lack focus, energy, and clarity, and it keeps my raging hormones and moods well balanced. I have used other regular fish oils from this company, and a number of other name-brand fish oils, however; this is the only product that, time and again, does not fail me. I cannot say enough about this particular product and how much of a difference it makes. Only 1 tsp a day is all someone needs (albeit I sometimes take twice a day when I feel it to be necessary). The taste is pleasant (for me) as well. I have recommended this product to a number of women friends and they will not be without it either. Its that amazing.

This pproduct does produce results but it is costly - other products do the same.

I have used Carlson products for a long time. They are a good reputable company. I decided to try this product because I wanted to increase my Omega 3 fatty acids but didn't want to take a handful of capsules each day. This allows you to get all you need for the day in one teaspoon. All is good, but there are a couple things I still want to comment on.First,It is very hard to pour this into a spoon without spilling. I found that pouring the oil into the the cap first makes things much easier.Second,Even though this is flavored, it is still not the most pleasant. It still taste like you are swallowing pure oil. It doesn't bother me any, but don't expect a nice candy or fruity flavor. There is only enough added to neutralize the fish taste.Overall, this is an excellent product. If you are interested in which fish are used for this product it is Anchovies, Sardines, and Mackerel.

All I can say is that this winter I have not gotten the flu or a cold since I started taking this product. Can I definitely say that this product is the reason? No, but I'm willing to bet that it has helped.The flavor is not the sweetest but it is a fish oil so I'm not expecting a sweet treat. I think I can handle a teaspoon of something that is not the most pleasant. My skin has also thanked me for the purchase. My one and only complaint is the price for the size bottle. Both my husband and I take it daily so it really does not last that long. From here on in we will be buying a less concentrated oil by the same company that is far less and more oil for our dollar. Hopefully we will not be compromising quality !
