I tried multiple mushroom growing kits. One was an oyster mushroom from another company and the other was Bloombox with Lion's Mane. The Oyster mushroom kit grew 1 mushroom while the Bloombox Lion's Mane kit grew two large clusters on the front and then on the back. Instructions were easy to follow and when I reached out to customer service about a question about an optional water bottle sprayer they responded back immediately. It was great to be able to grow a beneficial mushroom like Lion's Mane at home and I highly recommend the Bloombox.

This was a christmas present for someone, and they really ended up liking it, it was fun and easy to grow. There were other items that were similarly offered elsewhere but this was for a good price. I would buy this again.

Decent growth, worth it if you want to try it once, not good for growing more batches. This is the 2nd run in a month, just make sure you spray it everyday and give it some sun every now and then, if your going to plant it outside, plant near a pine tree it grows better.

I have been plant-based for about a month now and wanted to try lions mane out. It’s been impossible to find it near me so I purchased this kit. The directions were ok but it did leave me confused on a few things (how much to spray, how often, is the bag absolutely necessary, etc.) I sat it out in the sun, sprayed it twice a day and brought it in during the time. I followed what others who had success did but it never grew. Nothing popped out whatsoever. Maybe it was something I did but I was excited and cared for it everyday for 2 weeks and nothing. I didn’t care to try cutting the back to retry growing because it appeared ruined. Bubbly wet white stuff consumed it and it just didn’t give off healthy soil. I’m glad it worked for others, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get a single thing to come out of it no matter how much I cared for it.

I watched a video with a chef cooking Lions Mane Mushroom and seasoning it like a steak. With my background in hospitality and the restaurant business, I wanted to replicate the recipe, but also do it in a sustainable way. The results were fun, even though great patience and dedication was required to wait the weeks require to grow the mushrooms. With minimal efforts, the first harvest was both a 4" long and a 6" long mushroom that were very dense, which were great for searing and flavoring in a cast iron skillet. The results were delicious, and I discovered I DO LIKE Lions Mane Mushrooms. I am growing my second harvest now, and look forward to trying yet another recipe soon. I've grown other mushrooms, like wood ear, in the past and I have to say the included instructions sound fun but they aren't nearly as clear as they think they are. They have "steps" and some of them are what you're supposed to do but they don't tell you a lot of the whys and wheres of what you're doing so some steps may not be necessary at all for you but you won't know that because they want it to sound fun. For example, they include a "humidity tent" but use some weird terminology about unfolding it like a book or something and then don't tell you when you'd actually need it. Many people won't need it at all but they don't tell you that. I don't yet know how well they'll grow because I spent 3 days trying to make sense of the instructions and then finally just got on youtube and watched a video from someone else who releases their own kits and actually understands what the end user needs to know. Oddly they didn't even include a humidity tent in their kit, as though it weren't necessary.
