UPDATE: "EXCEPTIONAL" CUSTOMER SUPPORT
PURCHASE ISSUE UPDATE Sep 9, 2024. I am updating my original review from 1 STAR to 5 STARS...due to being contacted directly by a DREO representative. I was contacted by phone by a very pleasant and professional Dreo agent, Jane, who wanted to duscuss my humidifier purchase issue listed below. Jane was very extremely courteous and helpful. She was very concerned about the poor customer experience I had when I originally called them in Aug after I received my 713S Smart Humidifier which failed. Jane asked me to provide her with appropriate documentation and photos of my purchase via email which I did. I was contacted again same day and was offered a replacement unit. This is exceptional customer service. I communicated with at least three different people this time via email and phone within 48 hours and all were very responsive. It appears the DREO company wants to ensure they provide the highest quality products to their customers ... And excellent customer support! Original Review Below: I purchased this Smart 713s Dreo humidifier Aug 2024. After reading dozens of reviews in all of the 500 plus reviews about this humidifier and the "excellent customer support" they have been provided by Dreo with replacements, it seems that everyone who mentioned the "customer support Representative's name" ,.... I noticed her name was CAROL in every review! I had to call DREO for support the same day I received my 713S humidifier Aug 2024! It connected to my existing Dreo app beautifully. But on plugging it in... The Humidifier immediately Presented a E3 error code message on the display! But Vapor flowed immediately ... No problem. But The display wouldn't even work except for the E3 error code. No Display at all! I looked for that E3 error code for two and a half hours and was never able to find what the meaning of that error code was anywhere. So please be forewarned.... That E3 message for this make and model is not anywhere on the internet, nor is it in their manual or any DREO documentation. So I resorted to calling.. customer support. On speaking with a customer support agent, she put me through a lengthy "take apart the whole humidifier process".... AFTER... I had told her I received the E3 error code!! Very frustrating! She put me on hold for at least 10 minutes, and came back on the line and Simply told me that since I bought it at Amazon, it would probably be quicker to call Amazon and have them replace it, than to have their company DREO replace it because it would take 7 to 10 days for shipping. So I had to ask her what does the E3 error code mean?? After asking yet twice again, she told me that E3 code meant a "HEATING ELEMENT FAILURE ". I told her those error codes are nowhere to be found in the DREO documentation or on the website, and I had spent several hours trying to fix the unit looking for the code . She apologized... and said again it was best to call Amazon. I was pretty frustrated. BTW.... I purchased 2 DREO smart air circulators in the last 3 months from Amazon and they work great! And no problems with the app at all. Love those 2 super quiet fans!! But I was very unhappy that DREO did not attempt to rectify their product failure!

Best Humidifier I've Ever Owned!
Great humidifier with lots of options. The setup was straightforward. You need to have a 2.4Ghz internet signal for these to work with the app or remotely via voice (i.e. Alexa). Not 5Ghz. Most internet services offer both, and a hookup for me was simple. Other than that, I love the cool or warm mist options. The machine is nearly silent during operation. The footprint of this humidifier is small and very portable. It does not spill or leak. This is by far the best humidifier I've ever owned. And the modern/sleek look complements any room or workspace in the office.

works great, excellent design, easy to clean
The humidifier works very well in our large room. The functionality (optional nightlights, warm/cold mist, etc) is nice and the phone app lets me pick and choose the various options as well as set it up on a schedule. The design is outstanding. Having the tank top open with a big handle is wonderful for filling, moving, as well as dumping it out and cleaning it. In fact, I've never had a humidifier that is so easy to disassemble to clean and put back together which encourages me to actually do it as frequently as suggested. I bought demineralization cartridges and cleaning balls for the tank and I have no white dust or mold

Good product despite 5L tank (not 6L) and misleading description
The first thing that I want to mention is that although the description for this product indicates that it is a 6 liter unit, it is not. The tank for this unit holds exactly 5 liters, not 6. Secondly, although the description at the top says it has a 60-hour run time, this is misleading. Much further down below you find out that this the maximum run time that you can get. If you need to run it continuously at a high setting with warm mist on, the run time is only 10 hours, MUCH less than the advertised 60 hours. Third, something that isn't mentioned is that the recommended cleaning cycle is every 100 hours of run time, meaning you'll have to clean it roughly every 4-5 days with heavy use. Between having to fill it every 10 hours and clean it every 100 hours, that's a lot of maintenance, possibly too much for my original intended purpose - humidifying the main living area. Given these things, I wanted to ding this unit pretty hard in this review, but I'm only dinging it one star, and that's because other than these things, I like the product. First, I like it aesthetically. It fits well with modern/contemporary decor. Second, removing the tank to fill it and then replacing it is a breeze and it fits snugly back in place. Third, it's whisper quiet and barely audible. All you hear is a pleasnt, white noise bubbling sound at a very low volume, even when it's running full blast. Fourth, the display and controls are well-thought-out, intuitive and easy to use. Fifth, the automatic setting that uses the built-in humidistat works well, and the automatic shutoff when tank is dry is nice, too. Sixth, the phone app is a nice perk. There's no remote to keep track of or lose, and I get noticifcations when the tank is dry. I may decide to try using this unit in a smaller room, like our bedroom (180 sq. ft). The living room is, to be fair, a little bit larger (500 sq. ft.) than what this unit is rated for. Even so, it's able to bring the humidity up in the living room from what humidistat on the wall says is around 32% humidity to a maximum of 49% humidity, which is acceptable - I was aiming for 50% humidity. I suspect that the unit will be more effective in a smaller room and need to be filled and cleaned less often. Bottom line, if you're thinking of humidifying a room at or above the upper limit of this unit's capacity, I'd think twice and buy a larger unit. The stated coverage seems to be accurate, even if the listed tank size is not. If you're humidifying a smaller room, however, this is a nice little unit to have.

A must-have for winter dryness—works incredibly well
I have several of these throughout my house, and they work great. They keep the air from getting too dry, especially during the winter months when indoor heat can be brutal. They’ve made a big difference for my son, helping prevent his nosebleeds from becoming severe in the winter. The humidity level is easy to control, they run quietly, and they’ve been very reliable. Easy to use, effective, and absolutely worth having in multiple rooms. I highly recommend these if you deal with dry air or winter-related issues.

Fancy but user friendly!
Tried this brand this year and love it! I have the same brand in fans and small heaters and value their quality. Lots of options for settings, not too big, and you can use the tap water filters to avoid the white dust if you dont use bought water. Tank and assembly easy to pull apart and reassemble for easy cleaning. Has both warm and cool mist options. This is the best one I have had for years! Fancy but user friendly!

Best humidifier ever!
AMAZING!!! i have been trying to find the perfect humidifier for what feels like forever (literally 10+ years), this thing is amazing!!!! I had a cool mist humidifier, but the air humidity never truly improved because the water wold just fall to the ground and make a puddle on the carpet and furniture, so i have been trying to find a real hot steam unit. Problem is there aren’t too many of them, they are really big and ugly, not easy to clean, difficult to fill with water, etc. This unit solves all those issues! It’s attractive, relatively slim, does cool and hot steam (that is aimable and shoots high into the air) no more puddles on the floor. It has an auto setting that actually works! A great night light (that you can turn off if you don’t like it). It’s also WiFi and app controlled, which at first i didn’t care about, but it’s actually great, i can see and track the moisture levels, etc. what an amazing humidifier! 100% recommend

Works well, but be wary of Amazon Resale
To be honest, this is my first humidifier, and I did a lot of research before settling on this unit. I've seen plenty of negative reviews for these devices complain about how these products are either a pain to clean or they don't want to do the cleaning at all (seriously though, it's kind of expected of any product using water). I was at a point where I didn't know which one to buy, because a lot of negative reviews complained about molding or leaking, but after concluding the same negative reviews were on literally every noteworthy humidifier I was looking to buy, I settled on this one. There are some hard-to-reach parts of the unit that are annoying to clean, but I found that's pretty much the same deal with all the other units I looked into buying. I've also seen some with smart home features, but didn't think it made sense for myself. Seriously, the units always go:nkoing to be in the room I occupy and pretty much right next to me, so smart home features are rather excessive to me. Also, I never really need to adjust the settings, because this one already has some nice auto features, like shutting off or turning on after humidity reaches a certain level. Fortunately, it seems this was a practical purchase, because I do live where it's normally around 95F outside, so the humidity has been considerably low. The only thing I don't really like about this purchase is the manual. It was not printed with sequence in mind and some pages are even upside-down. I have to literally take the manual apart to find things like cleaning instructions. Additionally, it does a poor job with explaining how to thoroughly clean your unit and disassemble it; specifically, the large spout piece. It's kind of annoying that I have to figure out complete disassembly for myself, yet it's still a bit difficult to get into the harder to reach places; however, now that I know the spout piece is actually two pieces, it should be easier to clean it in the future now that it's officially mold free (seriously, some of the stains were hard set until I took them to a vinegar soaked cloth, and even then, I still needed to wipe down roughly to get them out). Otherwise, I'm glad the device works as intended, but because I don't want to deal with mold whatsoever, it's kind of why I've made it routine take it apart and clean it after every use. So just understand that routine maintenance will be a thing no matter which humidifier one might get. Make it easier, and clean it often. Maybe not as much as I do, even though I would still recommend it, because it's generally easier to clean each time the more often you do it. I deal with virtually little to no mold or any nasty stuff because of how often I clean it. The only exception was when I finally figured out how to take apart the large spout (no thanks to the included manual), which was pretty nasty to clean after 4 weeks of use. Your best materials for general cleaning will be using a microfiber cloth, a brush, vinegar, and hot water. Again though, make sure you clean often. Don't let stains sit for weeks, or you might regret how long it'll take to clean later. I'd also only recommend one of these units, because the more you buy, the more maintenance for you. - Something else to mention: I ended up going with the Amazon Resale unit, because the price was really enticing to consider. While my experience isn't necessarily a major deal breaker, I still feel it's important to reflect. Basically, although I bought the product in 'Like New' condition, it was definitely previously used a few times, and not really as described on the condition notes. There were definitely water marks to suggest it's been used. For that matter, even though I bought 'Like New', it really matches the 'Very Good' Amazon Resale listing they have instead. Mine definitely had a few cosmetic dings on it. There was a scrape on the unit itself and the tank had a couple of scratches and a large scrape mark consistent with someone packaging this a little carelessly (likely for return). It's also missing one of its rubber bases. According to the manual, the product was also supposed to come with a cleaning brush, but that was not included with my unit. So yeah, mostly minor stuff to mention; granted, when the condition doesn't match, it's still somewhat peculiar. These aren't exactly the standards Amazon expects of its third-party sellers when selling items in less than new condition on their platform, so kind of disappointing when the platform itself isn't as mindful. Whatever the case, it might be something to consider if you choose to go the cheaper route. Again, not really a deal breaker, as it's still a really nice price for a unit, even if it's not as stated in its condition notes.
