My hips and lower back are happy !
Comfortable!!! Super sturdy for a big guy. Beats the saddle style DW and RnS that I’ve previously used.

Soft & Stable
This is a very good throne, you will never want to go back to the old three legged no back support stool, it is soft and sturdy, you can lean back and relax between songs. It only costs a little more to go first class.

Wide seating with memory foam padding
My old drum throne was a much smaller stool with 3 legs, no back rest, and manual height adjustment via wing screws. However, it did its job really well and was easy to move around and fit into tight spaces. Compared to this throne, now it comes across as very old school. This Tentoten throne comes ready to be assembled and took me less than 5 minutes to set up. Most confusing aspect of setup was whether I needed to remove the black cover on the hydraulic lift -- yes, you do need to take that out and see the orange lift button underneath, or the seat won't work. Then you put on the seat bottom, screw it in, and use the side handle to set its height, just like you do with office chairs. At this point, it's ready to be used by people who don't care about the back rest. Otherwise, continue to add the back rest and tighten it from the bottom of the chair. The seat is extremely comfortable thanks to the memory foam type material Tentoten has used here. It's also pretty wide. The back rest uses similar material and is also quite comfortable. Although I enjoy the extra comfort, I'm a bit worried that it might cause the seat to sag or lose its shape after a while. I would have preferred a material that has better "bounce back" and will last longer, especially since this is not a cheap throne. The best part of the throne is the double-braced legs that end with thick rubber stops, which together make the bottom half very strong and stable. Second best is the easy height adjustment, then comes the easy setup/take down, and finally the comfortable seating. Although it's not the cheapest throne around, this one seems to be very well made, and is easily recommended.

Very soft seat lacks adequate posture support
This is a very sturdy throne. The legs are well built and I have no reservations about them holding me (245lbs) with ease. The best feature is the hydraulic lift, it is smooth and holds firmly in place at any position. The lift handle has a simple plastic mold feel and more than adequate. The hardware connections require a box end wrench or socket to tighten/loosen, and once they’re tightened down properly they aren’t budging at all during play. I’ll admit I'm not a big fan of metal on metal clamping when the tubes are thin & hollow like on this throne. Only time will tell if that’s going to be problematic but after a few hours of use they haven’t bent and that’s a plus. I’m mostly worried about the back rest tubes/bars bending with the amount of weight I’m putting on them. They feel & look low quality. Thankfully, the backrest is easily remove, or even replaced, should it fail. Now for the dealbreaker: the seat is way too soft for my comfort. The seat cover is nice but seems to absorb sweat easily, and I can only assume it’s going into the memory foam. The foam itself has two circular cutouts that can be felt through the cover, from the top of the seat. I assume they’re for ventilation and for the center “peak” of the seat to have some give during compression. Sadly, they make the seat collapse in the front-middle which adds to the lack of firmness. The seat itself is also smaller than my other throne which is adding to my discomfort due to the lack of butt-to-back support. Although there is a backrest on this throne it doesn’t make up for the lack of a firm seat rim, which I’ve grown accustomed to.Lastly, the seat swivels with no way to lock it in place. I’m not used to this and it will take some time to get comfortable with, but it’s certainly a handy feature.I plan to keep using this throne for at least 50 hours to see if my body will adjust. If my experience changes I will certainly update this review.

Cushy
What a nice upgrade! In the studio we've got the whole range now: starter, regular gigger, and now studio comfort. The height adjusts easily via gas piston, the backrest is adjustable both up and down as well as front to back, the cushion feels great on my tush. The base has 4 legs and they are solid with fat rubber anchors. I definitely like this throne.

A very comfortable seat that is also heavy duty and very stable.
I've been using the name-brand drum throne with hydraulics for a very long time. The main complaint that i had with that one is that i can't lower the back seat to provide proper lumbar support. It has three legs which are not the most stable especially when I need to reach behind me to grab something. The TENTOTEN hydraulic drum throne solves all of the issues that I had with the name-brand one. First, the back support is double-braced so it feels very sturdy once you tighten it and It can be lowered to provide proper lumbar support. Second, the throne has quad legs instead of tripod legs which makes it incredibly sturdy. The seat itself is very comfortable. It has a hybrid shape which is to say that it's not quite rounded but it's not quite a full motorcycle seat. I find that this hybrid shape is much more comfortable and it doesn't cut off the circulation in my thighs. The seat is also made of sturdy memory foam type material that is very comfortable to sit on for a very long time.If I were to have any complaints about this drum throne is that it doesn't go down as low as my previous name-brand drum throne. So if you're looking to get this drum throne for your tattoo shop or other tasks where you need to have the seat on the lower side, this might not work well for you. However, if you need this to go really high, this throne will accommodate just shy of a bar stool height. This drum throne is going to be my everyday seating whether it's a task sitting at a desk or for a higher height for when I need to play the pedal steel guitar. I'm very happy with this drum throne and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a comfortable and sturdy seat.
