Pros: Excellent value, reliable performance, consistent brand quality. Cons: Basic design, not the flashiest unit on the market. Full Review: It honestly seems like Vevor is taking over the market lately. This voltage converter is just another product I’ve bought from them that is holding up perfectly under regular use. I’m not saying it is the absolute fanciest or most luxurious device out there, but the build quality is solid and the overall value is tough to beat. This is one of multiple products I now own from this company, and so far, so good across the board. If you need a reliable transformer without paying a premium, this is a safe bet.

Having used this one for about a year - stepping down from 220 to 110v - in my experience, it works great. It's reasonably well built (of course, I opened it and inspected it before entrusting my devices and my home's safety!). There are a few soldering points that could have been cleaner, but nothing is outright loose or cold-soldered. The transformer is toroidal, machine-wound, of course. The voltage readings are close enough (there is a way to calibrate, but it's very rough tuning, which I did anyway against my Fluke). One other thing I wished it had from the factory, which I added, was a bug screen. I hot-glued some on the inside for added safety. Just to add, in case it's not self evident: this is a voltage converter and it does NOT convert frequency so be sure your appliance can take both 50/60hz as typically 220-240v comes at 50hz and 110-120v is produced at 60hz.

I bought this for my Dyson airwrap which I bought in Turkey. Everything works great. Great product, I recommend it to everyone. After 3 months of light usage it stopped working!

I brought my 1963 American Singer sewing machine and modern Cuckoo 3-cup rice cooker to Europe when I moved without realizing I'd need not just a plug adapter, but a full-on step-up/down voltage converter transformer to reduce European voltage of ≈220v to ≈110v. What happens when you try to use appliances with the wrong voltage? My rice cooker's settings couldn't be accessed correctly---stove-top rice for weeks :-( ---and creepily enough, once I stepped on my sewing machine's pedal, it tried to keep sewing by itself even when I held the flywheel; even when plugged in but not in use, the higher voltage heated up the motor and burned the casing. I'm lucky it didn't burn out the motor completely. Lesson learned! While this transformer is expensive, large, and heavy, it does exactly what I need it to do, which is handle surges of power use like when the rice cooker starts a cooking cycle, does it quietly thanks to its toroidal core, and allows me to step up or down with the flip of a switch (in the back) should I need to power a European device back in the US. There were cheaper models, and smaller ones, but this machine had all the specs I needed, and frankly, the handle on the top of the transformer helps me transport it when I need to. All in all, well worth the investment to keep multiple sentimental appliances from the US working. PRO: - Steps up and steps down - Toroidal core is nearly silent - Gives you a readout in front to show when power use changes - Power switch (blue) is in front for easy access - Handle on top for transporting CON: - Heavy - As large as a small kitchen appliance, so it'll take up counter space - €50±, which is as expensive as buying a new appliance that doesn't need a transformer

Necesitaba un transformador para una máquina Makita que compre directamente en Japón, ya que en Japón el voltaje es de 100v y en España es 220v. Estaba algo preocupado porque algunos electricistas me habían advertido que si el voltaje subía a 120 podría dañar la máquina, si se mantenía cerca de 110 y no usas intensivamente la máquina, no debería tener problema. Por lo tanto, este transformador en primer lugar tiene un dial que te dice en que voltaje está funcionando en ese momento, con lo cual puedes comprobar si tu máquina esta en riesgo o no. Lo segundo es que cuando encendí el transformador estaba muy estable a 110v (111v es lo máximo que yo he testeado) y lo mejor fue cuando puse a funcionar la máquina y el voltaje bajó a 105v totalmente estable mientras la máquina corría, con lo cual, puedo usar mi máquina japonesa sin ningún tipo de riesgo. Por lo tanto, para mi es un 10/10 hasta el momento, ya veremos a futuro cuando ya tenga algo de trote. Y el precio, ¿que decir? me pedían por un transformador hecho a medida con todos los parámetros de éste (2000w) pero con sólo un enchufe y no se si tenía todas las medidas contra la sobrecarga de éste por 700€ y por este pagué 79€. Has leído bien de 700€ bajamos a 79€. No hace ni un ápice de ruido, esperaba que fuera más grande y pesado y para nada, en mi opinión es totalmente transportable y de volumen, bien. Por ponerle alguna pega, el enchufe que trae es algo corto (1m aprox.) En resumen, no podría estar mas satisfecho. Yo lo recomiendo encarecidamente. PD: de "regalo" te trae una salida de USB para cargar tu móvil ;)
