**Q: I prefer my light to be on 12 hrs, not 16. Can I somehow bypass the built-in timer and use a plug-in timer?**
A: Update: they apparently updated the model to include different timer modes. Lucky me, because I want what you want lol!

**Q: Is this lamp chargeable or does it have stay plugged in?**
A: It has to stay plugged in, it has three settings, 4 hours, 8 hours and 12 hours.  I love mine my plants are growing and beautiful.

**Q: I don't have an outlet nearby this particular plant, can the light be charged and then turned on?**
A: Get a portable USB portable charging box for $30 or so bucks. Just charge that & plug your light into it and you can make it or any USB device chargeable.

**Q: Do these lights get hot. Any worry about fire?**
A: I just set mine up today and 8 hours later I came back here because mine feel very hot.  Which no other grow lights I have have ever gotten even warm and I leave them on for 12hours. I might return these because it’s so hot. Might hurt the plants or fire.

Seem to last about a year - have owned 2 of these - they are small and give good light to a small window space with not enough light for my plants - so I keep buying them for the convenient size.Not expensive for what you get.Easy to use, and you can manipulate how you set them up, because they have the stake, and are lightweight, so you can also prop them using the window corner for more stabilityBrightness is adjustable 3 times, and there is a timer for 3 settings - it's simple -- you may need a magnifier if you are old and nearsighted like I am, but it all works well and there's no bulk.I wish that they lasted longer -- there's no real reason that such a light would fail in a year, when it is sitting there perfectly still, but I think 2 times is a pattern..I will buy it again when my current one dies.

Stop thinking about it and order it! My plants are thriving under these lights. I love the timer so I never have to think about turning the lights on and off. ****UPDATE AFTER 6 months**** One of the lights recently went out. I was annoyed and started looking for warranty info and eventually combed through the reviews again. THANK YOU to the people that suggested switching out the block. I was about to throw away the light, but with a new block the bulbs are just fine!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good for the price

Lasted exactly 2 years, which I think is pretty good for the $10-15 price point. There were a handful of times that the timer wasn't precise and I would wake up at night to the light turning on at the wrong time, or it would turn off in the middle of the day off schedule. This seemed to start happening around the 18 month mark, and then right before two years the light just wouldn't stay on anymore. It flashes like a strobe while I hold the power button down, but doesn't stay on when I let go. The light was good brightness and was able to give good coverage to 3 potted plants mounted near each other on the wall. There were a couple times that the plant closest to it grew a little too tall and the top leaves got sunburned. I am not at all saying this is a fault in the light, but am saying that it does in deed have a bright enough light to promote good plant growth even at a good distance. If I were grasping for a fault, it would be that the ring around the light is a bit too heavy. In a shallow or lightweight pot it is hard to keep it upright. The little stick does need to be pushed pretty deeply and into soil that has enough compaction and weight to support it or it will just fall over. And in a lightweight pot, between waterings it will tip the whole pot over. That said, the only reason I'm here to write a review is that I'm back to purchase again.
