Axus Decor Pro-Frame (Blue Series) Paint Roller Handle, Ergonomic Polypropylene Handle & Chrome Plated Rod - Compatible with Screw-on Extension Poles - 9"/230mm,44mm core

I purchased the Axus blue pro finish rollers a while back to do a few walls in the house.Only when they arrived i realized i hadn't done my research & the diameter was too big to fit in any of the standard rollers i could find here.A tad disappointed with Axus as a brand for such a move, reminds me of certain well known computer manufacturers that try to be so called "proprietary". I do my best to not purchase those brands & not support such silly business moves for the kind of generic products in question.Anyways to make a long story short, i had to then purchase the compatible Axus roller system namely this one as there are no other choices or options.Well it arrived in good time...i've used it so far with diluted dulux matt emulsion as a mist coat, large room all walls and ceiling, staircase walls & ceiling. It definitely feels solid & sturdy, also screwed well into a threaded extension pole borrowed off a mate.After all that job, a whole day's work..roughly 10 hours straight my hand was so sore.From my point of view the metal used in the bar is ridiculously heavy & they could definitely use a better lighter yet strong metal (aluminum alloys come to mind) in the case.To sum it up, yes nice frame, feels premium BUT its "proprietary" & can only be used with axus rollers.It weighs a lot and can quite strain the wrist if working long hours in a stretch.Personally, i would think twice before purchasing another of the same.I'd much rather have a nice light weight generic roller frame that i could just walk into any builder store & buy a generic good quality roller & have it fit well and not stress out my wrist.On the other side, that Axus Blue Fabric Roller sleeve that i bought did a beautiful job !! Easy to use & nice finish indeed.

Nice smooth rolling action, compatible with standard extention pole, not initially compatible with a standard roller.Some valuble time spent with a cheap potato peeler, a pvc pipe cutter and some pliers and it seems this oversight from the manufacturer can be remedied! If anyone from axus is reading and wants more details on how to fix their design, please do get in touch.Would not recommend, i despise this practice, the one reason i dont touch apple products!

Good quality Roller Frame but it was abit heavier than I'm use too as I normally used the plastic style ones before.. The item is very good quality and well designed and sold at a very affordable price and will definitely last longer than the plastic ones. I would need to buy the Axus roller sleeves or ones 228mm to use with it as the roller sleeves I had at home weren't wide enough to use with this frame which was a pain. Hestitate at first to use it but I'm getting use to the weight and I actually like using it now.

The roller comes straight off and wouldn't advice buying it. I had to keep pushing roller back on. My hands ended up covered in pain

Great sturdy roller handle, I had a cheap one that came with a pack and it didn’t last long before the handle broke.This one has been used a few times and is solid

This has a proprietary screw fit and therefore isn’t suitable for push fit extension poles

Robust item, price ok, i would recommend having bought about 5 of them

Super frame - holds sheepskin sleeve snugly and rotates really well.
