I bought one of these for each member of the family before traveling last month. They're quite handy in the airport and did a fine job keeping smaller items attached to the top of a carry-on size rolling suitcase. One did not have the clips that hold the straps together, and the others did. I'd recommend going for the extra clip, I wasn't sure it would make a difference but it was more stable with it.

I use this to hold my laptop bag on the top of my wheeled case. It works great.

I was hoping this would make bringing my luggage on a cruise a little easier, but it actually made it more difficult. Either I did not secure it correctly (multiple times), or it is just plain too flimsy. The bag I secured with it kept flipping over the side and I had to keep fixing it, which slowed me down and slowed the whole line down and it was very frustrating. I ended up just giving it to someone else and hoped that they could either figure out a better way to make it work or pass it on to someone else.

I realy liked this product and why I ordered a new one after losing the first one on my last trip by rushing to take my bag of the carry-on and getting on an overflowing shuttle bus. I might see if I can somehow attach it to handle or otherwise grab it as I lift the top bag. Having made this mistake ones I be more aware.
