At My Italian Table: Family Recipes from My Cucina to Yours: A Cookbook

I buy a lot of cookbooks and a lot of other things that I have never reviewed. This cookbook deserves a review. It’s by far one of the best cookbooks I’ve ever found. The recipes are easy to follow and in most cases simple. Finding authentic recipes from Italy can be difficult this cook not only gives you authentic recipes, but the story behind them as well. When I buy a cookbook, I usually cook one or two recipes and then never open it again. This one is already stained throughout because of usefulness and incredibly interesting and delicious recipes.

The pages are good quality (glossy, not light paper) and almost every recipe has pictures. I like the forward, it has pantry staples, how to's, and kitchen tools. It's a nice reference. Overall, I like it. I only wish it had some more desserts.

This cookbook is absolutely beautiful! The dedication, the tips and tricks, the suggestions, the photography, and of course the recipes - are all so perfect! It's filled with so many classic Italian recipes, she's walks you through each step! I have Laura's first cookbook (which is also beautiful and amazing), but there is just something so special about this one. She hit it out of the park! I've been watching her on YouTube for over 7 years now and none of her recipes have ever failed me! Please grab this books, your won't regret it and you'll be supporting an amazing woman and her sweet family! It's BEYOND!

It just goes to show you that simple, good quality ingredients yield the most delicious meals! This is such an amazing cookbook. Easy to follow instructions and a masterful use of ingredients. I absolutely adored the sausage and grape recipe and can’t wait to make it again and again!

Oh my goodness! What am amazing cookbook. After years of loving Italian food I finally decided to order an Italian cookbook. After quite a search I got this one. After it arrived I intended to flip through it but ended up spending a couple of hours going though all of the wonderful recipes. Made the first one that night and my husband said it was so good he would have ordered it in a restaurant. Have made a number of different dishes since and each one seems to be better then the last. All the personal comments just make this book all the more wonderful. There are a few ingredients that I had to get that I don't usually stock but it has certainly been worth it. Made one dish with eggplant and after eyeing it suspiciously, my husband admitted he had never tasted eggplant before (can you imagine!) and he loved it. If you like to cook and eat even more, this cookbook is a must!

I've been a longtime OG subscriber to Laura's channel. Two terms that best describe Laura would be "reliable" and "consistent." Laura has consistently produced reliable recipes for her culinary videos throughout the years, and her new book continues her style of consistency and reliability. "At my Italian Table" is among the most exquisite books ever written. I don’t want to call it a recipe book, because it is everything in addition to being a recipe book. It is very beautiful, soulful, and full of heart. The recipes are really thoughtfully prepared and written and the illustrations make you feel like you are a part of her family. Overall extremely satisfied! Cin cin!

I did not know anything about Laura Vitale before I came across this book and now I'm in love with her. Her recipes are simple, but tasty and not out of reach of anyone who wants to cook good authentic Italian food. Every single page you open you want to cook. There are no ingredients that are hard to source. Majority of them being from your local supermarket or deli. I do menus from my cookbooks for a week at a time and she is definitely up the top of the list of books to cook from. Photos are enticing and the recipes simple. If you want something to add to your collection, I can thoroughly recommend this book.

I absolutely enjoyed reading the book. I feel like she really succeeded at creating an atmosphere and what a touching homage to Nonna. Cooking to me is more about the traditions, the lifestyle, what food means to people and how it represents them. This book was very rich in that sense. I made a few recipes and loved everything. The recipes are easy for someone who cooks regularly. The quality of the ingredients play a huge part in the simple recipes. What is common food in Italy can be pricy in Canada but the beautiful recipes can make you travel to Italy and it’s always cheaper than restaurants. One of my favourite recipe book. Highly recommend!

I’ve been watching Laura in the kitchen on YouTube for 10+ years and pre ordered this book as soon as she announced it! Love everything in it! The recipes are fantastic and one of my favourite cook book features is pictures of each dish so I know exactly what I’m trying to make. Never disappointed with a Laura Vitale recipe!

Lot of explanatory text, and lots of pictures

First of all, this book is so pretty! A lot of time has passed since her first book but ot was worth the wait. The recipes look very simple, in true Laura style. Most recipes are pictured, which I find important.
