Scheiffer 2X 30W R39 Dimmable Reflector Spot Lights/Lava Lamp Bulbs SES E14 240v

I have not used my lava lamp for years because of no bulb and now it works perfectly with the bulb.

PEOPLE ARE THROWING THESE BULBS AWAY OR COMPLAINING WRONGLY! A 3AMP fuse will blow constantly with these lamps, just turning it on or off. I changed to a 5amp and everything was fine. Beware, the electrical connections on the lamp are primitive - never leave the house with one of these running, never really trust them, but it's not the bulbs. It's the fuse and you should proceed with the greatest caution with such basic electrics built into the lamp. It's a type of toy.

Brand: the brand of bulb delivered was not Scheiffer as per the item listing, but EverReady.Fit: The size is perfect for my vintage Mathmos Telstar Lava Lamp.Longevity: The first bulb blew after 6 hours, the second bulb is still going strong after a month.Heating: These bulbs seem slightly slower to get the wax moving than other bulbs I've used, but they get there.Final Thoughts: I'm happy. Incandescent bulbs are becoming rare as manufacturers switch to LEDs. The last single bulb I ordered from Mathmos cost £10 and lasted just 6 weeks. I've bought several cheap non-branded incandescent bulbs and they've all blown within a few hours to a few days. Manufacturers need good quality control if a bulb is going to survive the high temporatures of a Lava Lamp. It's a shame the quality control on these bulbs isn't quite there. But I will gamble and buy them again.

Both bulbs lasted nowhere the distance! 28/01/25 to 19/04/25 for the first bulb and 21/04/25 to 08/05/25 for the second, seriously poor running time!Don't waste you money or time...not sure if poor quality, transport too rough or just very, very old.

What a shame! Received when expected well packed and looked beautiful when in place. One of the bulbs however only lasted for two hours. The other is still going strong as it should be. Disappointing.
